Kat Von D Makeup First Impressions

I finally got myself to the new Kat Von D Makeup counter in Debenhams! It’s been a long time coming. Well actually it’s only been up and running for a couple of weeks, but for me it seems like an age 🙂 A few of you asked on social media when I shared what I bought for a video on the products. So, I thought I would do a first impressions using all of the goodies.

Not gonna lie, I want more or less everything that we have on offer here at the Kat Von D makeup stand, but I had to be logical. My budget won’t stretch to that! I did want to try the Lock It Foundation. I was only delighted that I even colour matched myself to the right colour. But of course that was the one shade that was out of stock. Devastating!

I picked up the Shade & Light Eye Contour Palette.

The Lock It Concealer in the shade L5 Neutral.

And then the Lock It Brightening Powder in Petal.

I already had a mini of her Tattoo Liquid liner in ‘Trooper’.

With also a mini of the Studded Lipstick in ‘Lolita’.

All of these are of course available now in store from Debenhams in Henry Street, Dublin. They also sell Kat Von D makeup online here.

I am not surprised to say my first impressions of the new Kat Von D makeup I picked up are really good. I am sure I will be talking about them individually here in the very near future.

Zara, Boots, & Penneys Haul

So I’m not the best at showing clothes on camera, I have officially learned this fact from doing this video. I’m not particularly comfortable with my size and shape though, so I think that makes me a little nervous about it too. Hopefully I’ll get better as I go along in both instances 🙂 This video is showing all the bits and bobs that I picked up in Zara, Boots, Penneys and Debenhams last week. Buying this much stuff is definitely not a regular occurrence, I just had a bit of a moment 🙂

I bought some of the Zara things online, as well as a couple of the other products and I collected them in store. I love having the option to do this. It means you don’t have to pay shipping and I was heading into town anyways so it was a win win for me.

I’ll attempt to list everything I got and link it down below, except for the Penneys stuff…if only they had a shopping website!

The Zara mid heel Chanel wannabe shoes that literally killed my feet (I’m not even joking, they are in bits!). These are on the website here.

And then finally, the L’Oreal True Match Highlighter. They don’t have it on the Boots website right now unfortunately. I got it in store and it was €11.99. The L’Oreal products were on 3 for 2.

Kat Von D London Calling Fearless Favourites

I couldn’t wait for the 13th of September and for Kat Von D Beauty to arrive at Debenhams. I completely caved (like the makeup junkie that I am) and bought the teaser that they offered us to wet our appetite 🙂

This is the Kat Von D London Calling Fearless Favourites Limited Edition Set.

Kat says she can’t live without these products and if she can’t, sure that means I can’t…logic!

The set contains three mini products. We have the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in ‘Double Dare’, which is described on the box as a cocoa blush colour.

There is a teeny mini Studded Kiss Lipstick in “Lolita’. The back of the box describes this as a chestnut rose colour. You can see it here compared in colour to the liquid lipstick. It’s a little deeper and rosier in tone. The formula of it is really nice to, it super comfortable on the lips.

And then finally there is a little mini of the cult Kat Von D makeup item that is the Tattoo Liner in ‘Trooper’. And sure I might as well tell you, this is described on the back of the box as satin black :). It’s early day and I’ve only used this once for the purpose of this post. But, I found it simple enough (as simple as a liquid liner can be) to use.

This is my first delve into the Kat Von D Beauty world, but I really like all of the products included in the London Calling Set. The liquid lipstick and lippie are super wearable colours and it’s always good to have a decent liquid liner in your life. It’s a great introduction to the brand and it’s making me even more excited for it to launch here now 🙂

At €27.25 it is pretty pricey, which makes me a bit scared to see the prices of the full range. But, the products are really nice quality.
