Too Faced Chocolate Gold PaletteI asked on Instagram stories, would you want to see swatched of the new Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette. It was pretty much an unanimous yes, so here we are.

Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette

I know people like quick fixes these days and would probably prefer to see these on social media. But I am still a blogger through and through, and sure it means there’s a permanent reference and it looks a bit better in website form. Thanks for taking the extra click ๐Ÿ™‚top irish beauty blog

The Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette is the next collection of eyeshadows in their chocolate bar family.

The minute you open it, the waft of cocoa greets you. These palettes look like chocolate and they literally smell like it too. The palette itself is really sturdy and comes with a large mirror in the lid.irish beauty blogger

There is sixteen shades within. Four mattes including a larger panned light skin colour shade, a cool toned brown, a slightly warmer brown and a black.Too faced cosmetics ireland

Rollin’in Dough, So Boujee, Cocoa Truffle, Decadent.

The other twelve are all foiled with Chocolate Gold of course, being the star of the show.

Holla For A Dolla, Gold Dipped, Livin’ Lavish, Drippin’ Diamonds.

I totes tried to fit them all in one pic….it didn’t work, soz! The second picture does give you a closer look at the finish though, so I’m not too mad it didn’t work out.

You get different variants of metallic gold within this palette, which I very much like. I’m not always a full on yellow gold kinda gal. I do enjoy a more taupe or bronzed gold across the lid day to day. There’s generally very wearable colours in it and then there’s definitely a couple more ‘out there’ shades. I’m talking about you ‘Money Bags and ‘New Money’. Too Faced, in my humble opinion do metallic shadows really well. This palette definitely reflects that. The mattes for me are grand. You can build them up, but they are harder to work with. I will be for sure playing around more with this palette more on social media, so if you want to see the colours in action on the eyes, make sure you’re following me ๐Ÿ™‚

You can find the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette now in store or online from Debenhams. It retails for โ‚ฌ47. Do you own any of the Chocolate Bar Palettes?

Highlighters My Most Used At The MomentIf I’m wearing makeup, you best believe I have highlighter on! I sometimes just go for a more subtle liquid approach, or a mixture of liquid and powder. Generally though, powder highlighters are my jam.

most used powder highlighters

I am going to run you through the three powder highlighters in my collection that I gravitate towards the most. I’ve loads of lovely other ones, but these are my ‘don’t have to think about it’ picks. They work for me and last well throughout the day.

First up, is the infamous Mary-Lou Manizer from theBalm Cosmetics.thebalm

I think the majority of makeup lover have Mary-Lou in their lives, or one of her very lovely sisters.irish beauty blog

She isn’t too warm, she isn’t too cool. She’s the perfect in between slightly golden shade. The powder itself is soft and really easy to blend.irish beauty bloggerbeauty blog irelandirish beauty website

If you have yet to see Mary-Lou in the flesh, go check her out in your local Debenhams. You won’t be disappointed. She will set you back โ‚ฌ19 online here.

My next choice in my most used highlights is one I picked up at Christmas time last year.becca shimmering skin perfector
This is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl.

If you have pale skin like me or even paler, this could be your perfect shade! It has more of a silvery tone, that can be more suited to pink toned skin tones. It gives shine without sparkle (all of the Shimmering Skin Perfectors do). They melt into the skin effortlessly. top irish beauty website

You can also use this wet if you really want to amp up the glow. I did a whole review on this when I first picked it up here. Becca is in store from Spacenk or online from Cult Beauty here.

My last choice is the more pink shade out of the three highlighters. It’s still has a pale gold finish to it on the skin, so works really nicely for me without looking too obvious. I like that look sometimes, but generally everyday, I just want a bit of shine.too faced prismactic highlighter
It is the Too Faced Prismatic Highlighter in Blinded By The Light.beauty blogtop irish beauty blog

This is the lightest shade in the three Prismatic Highlighters from Too Faced. There is a more pink shade too that I do use too, but this is just the one I reach for the most. They give such a lovely shine, nearly wet look to the skin. top beauty blogdublin beauty blog

I tend to reach for this more in the evenings. It looks so pretty as an eye shadow too. You can find these in store or online from Debenhams here.

And there you have my current faves. Any of them your favourites? What’s your most reached for highlighter?

Too Faced Melted Latex

Too Faced are just constantly bringing out new products. I only road tested some of their new releases here not too long ago. There is lots more coming from the brand in the near future too. I have here one of their latest releases, the Too Faced Melted Latex Liquified High Shine Lipsticks. Try saying that with a few jars on you ๐Ÿ™‚

Too Faced Melted Latex

There are 16 shades within the Too Faced Melted Latex range. I have five of the more wearable colours to show you here. That was my doing completely. Some of the colours are super fun, but they would have been completely wasted on me.

Too Faced Melted Latex

These are completely new to me, so this definitely isn’t a review. It’s more of just a try on of the colours in blog post form, so you can see them too ๐Ÿ™‚ Of course, from the name Too Faced Melted Latex, we know these are going to be super shiny!

First up we have “Hopeless Romantic”.

And then finally the fifth colour I have is “Rated R”.

First impressions of the Too Faced Melted Latex lippes are, the colours are super opaque and…shock horror, super shiny ๐Ÿ™‚ They are quite thick and sticky in consistency and if you have any dry patches or wet residue on the lips, they don’t apply greatly over it. Make sure to prep your lips before application. I really like the applicator and the range of colours is great too! They smell fruity, but the scent isn’t majorly over powering. If you are looking for a high shine, full on colour liquid lipstick, these could definitely be for you.

I went to the launch of the Too Faced Natural Love Palette and within (no exaggeration) a half an hour of having it in my possession. I turned the camera on and played with it ๐Ÿ™‚

too faced natural love palette

I was also lucky enough to be given the three new Prismatic highlighter from Too Faced as well. So they make a cameo in the video too ๐Ÿ™‚

beauty vlogger

The Too Faced Natural Love Palette is limited edition.

too faced cosmetics irelandbeauty blog ireland

It’s contains 30 neutral shades which are a combination from Too Faced best sellers, (Natural Eyes, Natural Matte, Natural At Night). And then, some newly formulated shades too. The Too Faced Natural Love Palette is available now from the Debenhams website here and priced at โ‚ฌ62. I was going to swatch it in this post but I thought it would be a bit too long and I go into a fair amount of the eyeshadows in the video. I might do a separate swatch heavy post looking at all the shades very soon ๐Ÿ™‚

Too Faced Natural Love palette

If you click on the video above, you will see what shades I used and my first initial impressions of the palette. Since it’s a neutral heavy palette, I went with a more neutral makeup look. And as with all of my looks, it is super simple and fuss free.

Then, we have the Too Faced Love Light Prismatic Highlighters.

According to Too Faced these have ‘a silky smooth texture that allows for buildable pearl radiance.’ They are apparently made using a liquid to powder freeze dry process.

The shades from left to right are You Light Up My Life’, ‘Ray Of Light’ and ‘Blinded By The Light’.

I used ‘Blinded By The Light’ in the video. I think it’s the best colour for my skintone.

All three shades are permanent and are priced at โ‚ฌ30. You can get them from the Debenhams website here.

First things first. If you don’t like kitsch and you don’t like heavily scented product. You will not like any of the Too Faced Sweet Peach products.

too faced sweet peach glow palette

If you are like me and don’t mind any of that, keep on reading because of course this post is going to be about the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette ๐Ÿ™‚

too faced sweet peach review

This palette is a continuation of the Too Faced Sweet Peach family. We of course had the eyeshadow palette first which the beauty world went nuts about. So the collection was extended to include this, blushes and lip glosses and I am sure there is more to come.

The Glow palette comes similarly packaged to the eyeshadow palette. The casing is a light hollow metal and it has a magnetic closing which I really like.

top beauty blog ireland

You don’t have to fiddle with a clasp to get it open. It has a good sized mirror too and quite compact.

Inside you get a highlight, a blush and a bronzer. They are all powder.

A coral orange toned blush which is 5.5 grams of product (almost double the amount of the other two):

And then a warm toned satin finish bronzer. This is also 3 grams:

The powders are heavily scented of sweet peach. It’s the first thing that greets you when you open the palette. I personally really like the scent. It reminds of me of sweeties and as I am even writing this, I am stopping to have a whiff of the palette beside me.

The products are quite densely packed in the pans, but it doesn’t make them difficult to blend out on the skin. It also means you don’t get a lot of kickback when you dip your brush (or your fingers) in. When you swatch the powders with your fingers, you get a decent saturation of product on the skin.

When you apply with a brush you get a sheerer application on first swipe, but you can build up all three powders to your liking. I like this because it puts you in control of the colour pay off. If you are looking for instant gratification with them though, you are probably best off using a stiffer bristled brush for application.

In my opinion the colours are more suited to lighter skin tones like my own. All three are very pretty wearable shades though. The bronzer shade is a little warmer than what I would go for myself normally, but it applies really nicely on the skin. I find it really wearable.
