I took some (very amateur) snippets of travel footage while myself, John, my mam and my brother were in Malta. It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, right? As you’ve probably seen me mention a couple of times on Instagram stories, my mam isn’t very well, so we’re trying to make some lasting memories with her. She’s been to Malta a few times over the years and loved it. I thought it would be fun for us all to go together on a little family trip.travel vlog malta

I booked the flights for next to nothing on Ryanair a couple of weeks before we went. It’s off season so they we super cheap.

So was the Airbnb, although as I say in the vlog, I wouldn’t recommend where we stayed, so I didn’t show much of it. It was grand for how we used it and how much it cost in January. The location was great too. We stayed in St Julian, the apartment was close to lots of bus stops and had plenty of amenities close by.beauty blogger ireland

As I mentioned this holiday was more for my mam, and she loves shopping. We spent most of it waiting outside of shops for her 🙂 We did do a little exploring and lots of eating and drinking in between though.

Malta is a beautiful place. We managed to travel to Valletta, Sliema and Gozo, (which is an Island), within our week there. It’s a reasonably small country so it doesn’t take too long to get from one place to another.irish beauty blog

The architecture is beautiful and the cathedrals in particular will blow your mind. I never thought I would get up close to masterpieces from the artist Caravaggio. I actually studied some of his paintings in school, so it was amazing to learn more about him and see some of his works in real life.beauty blog ireland

Overall, our trip to Malta was a memorable one. The food, the views and the people are all brilliant. It is pretty chilly there if you travel in January, that’s something to be mindful of. You automatically think of it as a warm country. We will 100% will be back, to do even more exploring.irish beauty blogger

Let me know what you think of the travel vlog. Is it worth me doing more of them in the future?

I filmed this on St Patrick’s Day. I decided to be lazy during the day and just watched the parade on the TV and veg out. For the evening though, myself, John and some friends went for some festive drinks 🙂 So, I blarred the music, turned the camera on and filmed myself doing my makeup. You know a love a get ready with me style video. This is my night out makeup look on behalf of St Paddy!

Night Out Makeup Look

I wanted an excuse to use my new Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in ‘Kitten Karma’.

irish beauty bloggerStila Magnificent Metal Kitten Karma

I bought mine off the Stila website directly here. It pains me to say it cost over €30 to get it shipped here, but it was sold out everywhere else. So, I took the hit, because I had major fomo 🙂

I wouldn’t be Irish and the occasion would not be marked if I didn’t at least attempt a St Patrick’s Day Makeup Look.

St Patrick's Day Makeup

I am a big fan of green eyeshadow, so for me this is something I would wear anytime honestly. But we will call it St Patrick’s Day makeup because it fits the bill too 🙂 As always I am not a makeup artist, so this is just something really simple and easy to achieve, but hopefully fun at the same time too!

Green eyeshadow makeup look

I did a St Patrick’s Day makeup look last year, when I first set up my YouTube channel here. This is full on green. I thought this year, I would make it a little more subtle, but still festive at the same time. Think of it like your own makeup, that you are comfortable with, just with a hint of Paddy thrown in 🙂

St Patrick's Day Makeup

As always, you can watch the video by clicking on it above, or directly on my Youtube channel here.

I used a mixture of the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette which I have all the details on here. I used some Makeup Geek shadows, which you can buy online here. And, of course some Mac shadows that you can buy from Brown Thomas online here. The Kiko cream eyeshadow stick is directly from Kiko here.

Of course I use and name an abundance of other products. If you have any questions about any of them, just let me know in the comments below. You know I love to talk makeup any time 🙂

As always, thanks for taking the time to click in. Have a brilliant St Patrick’s Day whatever you get up too. I think my own this year will be pretty low key, but I am very much looking forward to it. There is always such a lovely atmosphere 🙂

We all know St Moritz tan. The brand have been in Ireland since 2009 and are still going strong. It’s such an affordable range and is available nationwide in Penneys, Mc’Cabe’s Pharmacy,McCauley’s and Bradley’s. I was lucky enough to attend the launch of their new range this week and wanted to show you up close the St Moritz New Releases.

St Moritz New Releases

They have repackaged, relaunched and launched some new products!

St Moritz New Releases

First up we have the Exfoliating Skin Primer.

irish beauty blog

According to St Moritz this

  • Preps & primes
  • Exfoliates skin
  • Flattens & evens skin tone
  • Creates optimum base for tanning
  • Ideal for beginners or experienced tanners, but essential for all to create a beautiful streak free tan.

top irish beauty bloggertop irish beauty website

It is a really fresh smelling gel with really fine exfoliating particles in it. A 200ml tube costs €6.95

Next up in the list of St Moritz new releases we have their Moisturising Tan Enhancer.

irish beauty blogger

According to St Moritz this:

  • Preps & maintains
  • Has a moisture rich formula
  • Is oil free
  • Prolongs tan with aloe vera
  • Ideal for beginners or experienced tanners, but essential for all to create and prolong the ultimate tan

top beauty blog ireland

This, like the scrub is a gel like formula. It has a coconut scent to it. You can use it on any rough areas of skin like the elbows and knees before tanning too! A 200ml tube costs €6.95

The 5 in 1 Tanning Mousse is next.

irish makeup and beauty blog

According to St Moritz this is:

  • Longer Lasting
  • Has a bb skin finish
  • Is moisture rich
  • Is skin smoothing
  • Has patented mood enhancing fragrance technology
  • Is available in medium and dark
  • Contains 100% naturally derived tanning agent
  • Has an instant guide colour

top beauty blogger ireland

In the bottle this to me smells really nice. I’ve yet to use it so cannot comment on how good it actually is…I’ll keep you posted 🙂 It’s liquid in the bottle and then pump releases it in a mousse formula. This costs €10.95 for a 200ml bottle.

irish makeup and beauty blogger

Their Velvet Finishing Gel according to the creators is:

  • Moisture rich
  • Skin soothing hydrating
  • has a non greasy finish
  • Has even coverage
  • Has patented mood enhance fragrance technology
  • Available in medium & dark
  • 100% naturally derived tanning technology
  • It also controversially doesn’t have a guide colour. I think the reason for that is you can apply and let it develop without having to shower!

irish beauty blog

It has the same clean smell in the tube as the others and will set you back €10.95 for 175mls

The last product from the St Moritz new releases I have is their Fast Response Tanning Mist.

top irish beauty blog

According to St Moritz this:

  • Has an guide colour
  • It is fast developing 1-3 hours depending on shade
  • Ultra light
  • Non greasy
  • Patented mood enhance fragrance technology
  • New actuator for a controlled spray
  • 100% naturally derived tanning agent

I have actually given this a go (if you follow me on snapchat, you would have seen 🙂 )

beauty blog ireland

I applied it to my legs with a mitt, I wouldn’t suggest using your hands with this. It applied really easily, smelled nice going on and dried super quickly too. I am quite pasty and left it on for about 2 and half hours. It gave me a hint of colour, but I did have to go over with an instant tan to bulk it up a little. I would definitely have to keep it on for longer. This costs €10.95 for a 150ml can.

There is also a Insta-Grad Tanning Mousse in the St Moritz New Releases. I don’t have it in my possession though. According to them it:

  • Gives instant colour
  • Instant tan and gradual build up
  • No mess & no fuss
  • Tested on sensitive skin
  • 100% naturally derived tanning agent
  • Ideal for fair skin
  • Patented mood enhance fragrance technology.

For a 200ml bottle this costs €10.95.

You can check out their website here for more information.

So there you have it, all the St Moritz new releases in a nutshell 🙂 A product to suit every tanning mood. Any of them take your fancy?

This green smoky eye is a look I tend to wear alot myself. For some reason I just gravitate towards green eyeshadows 🙂 I thought the run up to St Patrick’s day would be the perfect time to do a video on how I create it.

As with any makeup look, use the products you already have in your stash. You don’t need to go out buying anything (unless of course you want to 🙂 ) Most of the eyeshadows I used for this St Patrick’s day appropriate green smoky eye are from Makeup Geek, which if you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m a huge fan of. I also dipped into the Garden of Eden palette from Sleek Makeup, which is a gorgeous eyeshadow palette full of greens and complimenting colours.

I ended up using a warm toned brown in the crease, but you of course could use a cool toned brown or even a grey or a black, it’s fun to experiment 🙂

irish beauty blog

If you like the video please let me know, I’m still really new to this youtube this, so I am just learning as I go. And if you fancy subscribing to keep up to date, just click on the link here and I will pop up in your subscription box. I am trying to do a one video a week at the minute, so if you have any suggestions of what you would like to see let me know too.

All the products that I used for the green smoky eye itself and the rest of my face are in the info box of the video on youtube, so if you click here and scroll down you’ll be able to see them.

As always, thanks for stopping by. I really really appreciate it 🙂
