This is my honest everyday Summer Makeup look! I tried to keep it as real as possible and just edited out my ‘ums’ and any long winded techniques. My brows take forever πŸ™‚

It’s nothing fancy or ground breaking, but this is generally what I do on a daily basis if I’m wearing makeup. The eye look might change a bit if I’m feeling fancier or lazier. The lip colour might change if I’m feeling a bold or bright lip, but the base tends to not really. I’ve found what works for my skin in the heat, so I don’t want to jinx it too much if I’m going out and about. If I know I’m staying close to home, then I can experiment and trial new products πŸ™‚

It all depends on what you feel most comfortable with. For me, brows and a bit of eyeshadow definition is a must. Eyeliner is not necessary so it’s not something I do day to day. Once I have a wash of colour on my lids I am happy enough. The main components of my everyday Summer makeup look, I’ve spoken about a lot before. I think this is an important aspect of this video though. You know I like these products and above all, you know I trust them.irish beauty blogger

I won’t get into everything, but some of the main products I used are in my June Favourites here. I have a review the Urban Decay Primer here, and of both the foundations I used here and here. Mac Springsheen blush has been a favourite for literally years and the highlighter from Pixi is a new, but very loved favourite.top irish beauty blog

And that is my ‘errand running’ everyday Summer makeup. If you watched the video, you’ll get the joke πŸ™‚

Thanks for tuning it. Tell me, what are some of your Summer makeup essentials?

I’m feeling very makeup video-y this week it seems πŸ™‚ I’m back with a more wearable everyday look. This is what I do when I am in a bit of a hurry but still want to look put together and presentable.

irish beauty bloggerirish beauty blog

I would more or less do a variation of this makeup look most days I wear it. I would just switch up the eye or lip colour. But, the principle and the application would be the same. Unless, I am trialing specific products or I’m feeling really fancy…or lazy.

It’s really simple and honestly takes no major skills at all. I adore makeup, but I’m no professional. I even added in me (kinda, sorta), doing my hair too πŸ™‚ Have a click here to watch the video in full, or you can watch it above.

Let me know what kind of YouTube videos you like to watch. Do you prefer watching to reading? I would love to know. I’m a big beauty YouTube fan, so I love making videos even though I’m not very good at it. Every time I edit it myself, I say, OK Gemma, next time enunciate more and stop saying ’em’. It never happens πŸ™‚

It’s April Favourites time for 2017. This year is going too damn fast! But, the weather is getting a little bit better and it’s a bit brighter out. So, I can complain (of course), but I won’t πŸ™‚

top irish beauty blogger

My April Favourites for this year consist of mostly makeup, of course. But there is a hair care tool and a new tech gadget, that myself and John splurged on. We had a busy month, so it was a bit of a treat for getting through it.

It’s the beginning of a new month! That can only mean one thing in blog/vlog land. It’s monthly favourites time πŸ™‚ Here is my round up of February favourites for 2017!

My February favourites consist of all beauty related products. There is a mix of makeup and skincare. I do have an honourable random mention at the end of the video though. You can click the video above, or watch it directly on my YouTube channel here.

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Range is first. You can see the range in more detail over on The Body Shop website here.

Garnier Pure 3 in 1 Wash, Scrub & Mask. You can pick this in Boots stores and online here. It costs €7.49.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk. I have a full review and details on this here.

Mac Soar Lip Liner is on the Brown Thomas website for €17.50 here. Not the cheapest lip liner in the world, I know. But I haven’t found a similar colour for less money as of yet. I will keep hunting though πŸ™‚

Spring Sheen Blush from Mac. I am definitely having a bit of Mac revisit at the moment, I know! Again, this is on the Brown Thomas website here. €24 is a bit steep, but you can buy Mac blushes in pan form too.

Then my final February favourite is the Clarins Ombre Iridescente Cream To Powder Eyeshadow in 09 Silver Rose. I cannot find a link to this particular colour in Debenhams or Boots. But it is avialble to buy online from CH Tralee chemist for €22.50 here.

And that sums up my February favourites in one blogpost, oh and a video too :). Do you have any stand out products for the month? Beauty or otherwise of course? Let me know and as always thanks for clicking and watching.

I am not a blush monogamist by any stretch of the imagination. I flutter from one to the other depending on my mood and of course what colour or finish I want on that day. Lately I’ve noticed my hand has been reaching for the same 5 blushes in my makeup drawer though. 5 is still probably alot in a normal case scenario I know, but for a makeup fiend this is a pretty respectable number πŸ™‚ So I thought I would share them with you today as they are actually quite varied (as blushers go anyway).

First up is one of the first Mac products I ever had in my collection. Don’t worry I’ve gone throught a few of them since then, but you can still see this is well loved.

Mac Pink Swoon

This is Mac’s Sheertone blush in ‘Pink Swoon’. At one point this was the only blush I had in my possession.

irish beauty blogPink Swoon Swatch

I like the Sheertone blushes because you can build them up to your own preference. I think Pink Swoon is the perfect matte pink cheek tone. It suits my skin tone well and I can wear it day or night. Pink Swoon is available for €24 from Brown Thomas here.

My second choice is another Mac Sheertone blush, but in the shimmer formula.

Mac Springsheen blush

This is ‘Springsheen’ which I think is a bit of a Mac cult classic. You can buy this from Brown Thomas for €24 here.

irish makeup and beauty blogSpringsheen swatch

It’s light peachy shade with a gold sparkle running through it. Probably more suited to the warmer months, but I love Springhsheen if you gone to town on your eye makeup or your lippie and just want a subtle pop of colour to your cheeks. It’s a good staple to have in your collection.

The third choice I have been grabbing for of late is a blush I actually spoke about in My Everyday Makeup Routine here.

catrice blush kiss me ken

This is the Catrice Illuminating Blush in 030 ‘Kiss Me Ken’.

beauty blogkiss me ken swatch

This is a more mauvey toned blush I think, with just a little sparkle running through it.

I tend to grab for this when I’m going for a mauve toned lip, which I have been loving at the minute. I think the similar tone of colour on the cheeks and lips go well together.3

Number 4 is the priciest of the bunch. It’s Β£32 from Spacenk here.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Diffused Heat

This is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in ‘Diffused Heat’.

irish beauty blog beautynookDiffused Heat Swatch

It looks pretty scary in the pan, right? But as you can see when it swatched on my arm, it’s a lovely peachy pink shade. You have a swirl of intense colour, but then you are kind of diluting it by mixing it with the lighting powder running through it. This is such a pretty shade and the formulation of these blushes are really lovely and so blendable too. I use this blush alot when I’m going for more of a fresh face approach to my makeup, if that makes sense? :p

I left this blush until last, because it’s really the one I reach for the most.

Max Factor Seductive Pink

This is the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in 15 ‘Seductive Pink’.

beauty blog beautynookSeductive Pink Swatch

The beauty community went nuts when Max Factor first released these blushes, as they are such a lovely and affordable alternative to the Hourglass offerings that I talked about a minute ago. I think Seductive Pink is a blush everyone should have in their collection if I’m being honest. It’s just a great all rounder, and ticks all the boxes for me. It’s pink, but has a rosey tone to it aswell, it’s not completely matte, but it doesn’t interfere with your makeup at all, it will work on so many skin tones, it works with all types of makeup looks and the formula of Creme Puff blushes is so lovely as well. They’re soft, pigmented and easy to blend. Can you tell I love it? πŸ™‚ You can pick it up from Boots here

Do you have a favourite blush or blushes that you reach for constantly? Do you even rate blush?

Let me know πŸ™‚
