I know, I know! This video only went up at the end of last year showing you my bargain River Island find. But having friends like Siopaella means I come into contact with some beautiful things. And sometimes those things stick, like my new Louis Vuitton handbag 🙂

Louis Vuitton Jeune Fille

I’ve gotten some questions about my new purchase, so I thought it would be fun to answer them in video form. My new very fancy purchase, is a vintage find from the 90’s, which makes me love it even more. It’s called the Louis Vuitton Jeune Fille Crossbody bag. I found out later that Jeune Fille means young girl in French, which I am at heart, but definitely not in real life 🙂

Louis Vuitton SiopaellaI am not a designer expert whatsoever. That’s Ella’s job, so be sure to follow Siopaella on Instagram to keep up with all their awesome content. Their unboxing videos are the best!

There is of course wear and tear to my new Louis Vuitton splurge, it’s old and it’s been used. I am completely ok with that, that comes with buying vintage. In the video, I tell you how I came across the bag and why I bought it, so I won’t bore you with any of that in written form.

And as an extra little bonus at the end, I rummage through it and show you the compartments that it has and all the crap I can fit into it. Including a stupid amount of makeup, of course 🙂

Makeup for this occasion was pretty simple. I used the Anastasia Sultry Palette, which I happened to get in Siopaella too!! And also my beloved Urban Decay Torch eyeliner in my water line. Nothing ground breaking.

Let me know what you think of my fairly pricey Louis Vuitton splurge. It’ll be a while before my next, that’s for sure 🙂

I went to the launch of the new Inglot Signature Collection Palettes with my lovely friend Ella (aka Siopaella) last week. I am a big Inglot eyeshadow fan. Sure didn’t I only do a haul here not too long ago adding some to my collection 🙂

Inglot Signature Collection Palettes

There are four colour ways within the Inglot Signature Collection Palettes to choose from.

We have Candy, Coco, Berry and then the one I chose out of the four to take home with me, Honey.

Some of the shades within the Inglot Signature Collection Palettes are new, and some are preexisting in the Freedom System line up. I asked on Instagram if you wanted to see swatches of the Honey palette and a few of you said you did, so I thought I would cobble together a quick post with everything linked and handy for reference 🙂

Honey is a selection of complimenting warm tones ranging from warm brown to a light vanilla shade. Two of the colours in the palette are brand new (291 and 287), and two were already available. They all work really well together.

Here they are swatched on my arm from left to right, with and without the flash on: 291, 300, 287, 305.

All the shades are matte and as you would expect from Inglot, super easy to work with.

Freedom System eyeshadows sold on their own are €6 each. These quads are €32, with obviously the four shades and then the magnetic palette aswell. This works out the same if you were to buy the palette and any four eyeshadows, so you’re not paying any more or less. You can buy all four of the Inglot Signature Collection Palettes in store and online now from Inglot Cosmetics. Here is the link for the Honey one just in case it takes your fancy or you want to learn any more about it. I might pop up an Instagram video in the next couple of days showing the colours in action too, so be sure to keep an eye out for that.

Inglot Cosmetics Ireland Have you tried any of them yet? Do you have a fave Inglot product?

Off the bat, I will say, I am not a very ‘typical’ romantic person. Romance to me is very simple. Give me time and give me food and I’ll be yours forever 🙂 Saying that, it’s always fun to have a reason to be a little creative with your makeup. So this is my interpretation of Valentine’s Makeup. I took major inspo from the gorgeous look Lily Collins rocked to the Golden Globes this year. The look was created by Fiona Stiles, using all Lancôme products.

Now, some obvious disclaimers, I do not look anything like Lily Collins, I am not as talented as Fiona Stiles and I am using no Lancôme products to do my makeup 🙂 I just really enjoy the idea of the soft pink eye and the bold red lip. Actually the beautiful Emma, creator of the blog Ol’ Green Eyes recreated this look on her social media too and did a beautiful job. So she has definitely inspired me aswell.

For my Valentine’s makeup look interpretation, I went a bit more shimmery on the eyes and used a more glossy red on the lips.

The main components of this Valentine’s makeup look for me, were the Nyx Lid Lingerie Eye Tint in Rose Pearl, I used that as a base on the eyes. You can see swatches of it here. I used the eyeshadow ‘Paranoia’ from the Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette then over top. You can see this swatched in a previous post here.

The lip choice I went for was the Essence Longlasting Lipliner in 01 ‘Ready For Red’. With the Métier De Beauté Hydra-Crème lipstick in ‘Maraschino’ over the top. This is a new brand to Spacenk here in Dublin. John bought me it for Christmas and I am in love with the formula and colour. Pricey, but a really lovely treat.

And there you have my really simple ode to Valentine’s Day in makeup form. Let me know what you think. Would you wear red and pink together? I never thought I would, but I am actually in love with the combo now.

The Urban Decay Full Spectrum is not a necessity is your makeup bag. To be fair makeup isn’t a necessity in our lives, that doesn’t stop us from wanting using and enjoying it though 🙂

If I am being completely honest with myself (and you), most of the colours in this palette will not make it on my face day to day. Or perhaps even, never. I am not a professional makeup artist so I cannot even justify it by saying I might use them on other people. I enjoy buying and sourcing makeup, the buzz and the aftermath. So, that is my justification for buying the crazy colourful Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette 🙂 Oh and I did get it in Siopaella, AND it was half price!! You have to be quick buying makeup in there though. There’s usually only one (or sometimes two) of something.

Ok, enough beauty babble out of me. We’re here to look at the Urban Decay Full Spectrum up close. Urban Decay say it is a step up from their Spectrum Palette which was launched last year. This is the 2016 version of that limited edition colour explosion. You get 21 shades in total, each 1.2 grams. This is most eyeshadows in any Urban Decay Palette to date.

They are organised by colour family. So if you look at the colours in trios going down, you can see that they go from light to dark within the same colour….spectrum 🙂

The packaging is really lovely and is sleek to the touch, with a large very usable mirror within the lid.

You also get a dual ended brush, which has seemed to become the norm with Urban Decay Palettes.

The eyeshadows vary from more sparkly, shimmery and then shadows that look shimmery in the palette, but swatch matte. There is also a matte white thrown in for good measure. I actually like this addition because you can layer the bright colours over top (in theory) to make them more vibrant on the eyes. It contains 18 new shades with 3 what Urban Decay call exclusives from past palettes.

I have them swatched in sevens across, from left to right.

On the top line we have: Alchemy, Warning, Midnight Blaze, Hundred, Minx, Delirious, Platonic.

The second line contains: Gossip, Seize (apologies there’s a glare on the name), Calavera, Hatter, Blindsided, Sketch, Iced.

Then on the final row, we have: Paranoia, Jones (again with the glare, apologies), Goldmine, Mean, Metamorphosis, Faded and the matte white, Bump.

Some of the eyeshadows definitely have more colour pay off than others. You would even just notice that from the touch. There is some really lovely wearable colours within the rainbow. But overall, I think this is a palette for people who are makeup fiends, colour fiends or collectors ( I put myself in that category 🙂 ).

The Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette is available in Debenhams in store now or online here and will set you back €49. Would you dare?
