Guess what’s back, back again? You got that right, it’s favourites time πŸ™‚ This time we’re delving into my August favourites for 2018. Can you believe we’ve gotten this far? As I’m writing this, the sun is belting in on me, so it’s not time to complain about the weather….yet!

August favourites

My August favourites, are a pretty mixed, but logical bag, I think. I cover everything from body care, skincare, haircare, makeup, with even a hint of fashion.

August Favourites

I ramble a lot as always, so I apologise in advance. But sure if you’ve been around these parts before, you know I don’t really think things out. I just go with the flow and hope for the best. Literally how I live my life everyday πŸ™‚

I can’t find a link as of yet for the Essence Prime + Studio Mattifying + Pore Minimizing Primer with black clay. That is definitely a mouthful. This Autumn\Winter Collection was meant to be in store from the end of August though.

My last favourite I have a whole blogpost and video on here. This is just one of the shades that I’ve been particularly gravitating towards from the new theBalm Balk Jour Creamy Lip Stains.

And that is it for my August Favourites! Let me know what you think, and as always thanks for tuning in πŸ™‚

October Favourites

A fresh month means a fresh start…..and monthly favourites πŸ™‚ In this post and video we are delving into my October Favourites.

October Favourites

October Favourites for this year consist of all beauty products with one fashion fave! It’s been a bit of a pain in the arse of a month, I won’t lie. So I am very happy to see the end of it. Also, Halloween isn’t my favourite time of the year. Banger scare the bejesus outta me. I spent Halloween night cleaning up dog pee. Poor Rosie doesn’t like them either. I’m sure she is happy to see November come too πŸ™‚

irish beauty blog

As always I’ll list all the products I mention and link what I can.

  • Missguided Babe Powder EDP. I found is cheapest from Cara Pharmacy here.
  • The perfume I am comparing it too is the Dior Poison Elixir. This is a really old perfume, actually I didn’t realise how old it it! I don’t actually use this bottle, I just kept it cos’ it’s fancy πŸ™‚ I can’t seem to find it for sale online anymore. Brown Thomas have an eau de toilette version here.
  • I speak about the L’Occitane Shower Oil next. I have this link in my haul video here.
  • Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops. I did a whole blogpost with swatches on these here.
  • Elf Mineral Primer. You can get your hands on this in Penneys. It seems to be the cheapest online in the EU from Superdrug here.
  • The Too Faced Hangover 3 in 1 Replenishing Primer And Setting Spray. Yes that is a mouthful πŸ™‚ You can buy it from the Debenhams website here.
  • And then my last October favourite for this year is some very loud ankle boots from Penneys. I make no apologies, I love them πŸ™‚

Lush The Man In The MoonDon’t be jealous, but last week I popped into Lush in Grafton Street to have a look at some of the new Christmas stock. Yes it’s not even Halloween yet and I’m talking about Christmas. This is the way of the retail world πŸ™‚ I got to hang out, play with some bubbles and even got to make my own Butter Bear! I also very generously got to take home a goodie bag with me. Mine contained the new Lush The Man In The Moon Christmas Tin. Do you want to see what’s inside?

Lush Dublin

Lush The Man In The Moon comes in a really cool Christmas Tin. When I first saw it I was saying if you wrapped it up and gave it to someone, they would just assume it was a box of Roses or Quality Street. The theme of the tin is very much night time relaxing and helping you to drift off to sleep.Lush ChristmasLush Christmas 2017

It comes with eight products within. Two bubble bars, one sparkle jar, three bath bombs, a shower gel and a body lotion. You can have a look at it in full on the UK Lush website here.

Lush The Man In The Moon

First up we have the gift’s namesake, the Man In The Moon Bubble Bar.

irish beauty blogger

It’s very sweet and limey, but it has an underlying muskiness too. It will turn your bath green. Neroli and lime are the main components of the scent so that makes sense completely.

beauty blog

The Magic Of Christmas reusable bubble bar in the other bubble maker in the tin. I’ve actually had this before. I got it a couple of Christmases ago in the Lush Wonderland set here.

beauty blog

Cinnamon is definitely the main component for the Magic Of Christmas, which I’m sure isn’t surprising it all. The star is on top of a cinnamon stick πŸ™‚

beauty blog ireland

Almond is another scent front runner here as it contains almond oil. It’s very much Christmas in bath form. I am not usually a cinnamon fan, but I actually really enjoy this. And it looks so pretty too!

irish beauty blog

There are three Twilight related products within the Lush The Man In The Moon tin. If you like lavender, you will love these.

First up is the Twilight Sparkle Jar.

beauty blogger ireland

This is a massage bar, so you use it to moisturise your skin. Your body heat allows it to melt and then you can massage in the product. It contains lavender oil, cocoa butter, tonka and chamomile. It also leaves behind a gold sparkle, so probably not for everyday use. But nice for a special occasion over the festive season. You can press something pointy into the dimples of the crescent to get even more sparkle.

Next is the Twilight Shower Gel. You get a 100 gram bottle.

top beauty blog ireland

This again has lavender and tonka within. It also has Ylang Ylang oil.

Lush Cosmetics

The last Twilight offering is their well known bath bomb.

lush dublin

This contains all the main ingredients that the shower gel has with added benzoin resinoid. This is an anti inflammatory. This is one of my favourite bath bombs.

lush bath bomb

Next up we have the Sleepy Body Lotion. You get a mini 50 gram tub of this.

dublin beauty blog

It has all the lovely ingredients of the Twilight shower gel & bubble bar with added oatmeal. It’s made specifically with sleep in mind.

The last two products are bath bombs. We have Shoot For The Stars.

irish beauty site

This is honey scented with orange oil, bergamot and coconut cream. It turns your bath blue with golden glitter from the bath melt stars.

Last but not least is the Rocket Science bath bomb.

irish beauty vlogger

Mine got a bit of a bashing in transit, but he’s still lovely.

top irish vlogger

This is a slow fizzer so it’ll give you something to focus on in the bath πŸ™‚ It has bergamot and lemon oil in it and turns your bath blue.

top irish blog

And there we have the Lush The Man In The Moon Christmas Gift Tin. I am a huge fan of Lush, so cannot wait to get stuck in. If I were more fancy, I would have shown you them all in action, but I didn’t want to waste anything πŸ™‚ I’ve linked all of the goodies individually so you can see what they are priced at alone. What’s your favourite Lush product?

It’s monthly favourites time again here on Beautynook. It’s crazy, I spent so long not doing them and now my month doesn’t feel complete without rounding up some of the things that I’ve been using either freshly for the month or some old favourites that I’ve found a love for once again. So just click on the video above to see the things that made it into my June Favourites video πŸ™‚

June favouritesAnd like always, I’ll link anything I can here too, in case something takes your fancy and you want to know more. I know monthly favourites are more rambly videos so less info is given generally while I’m in waffle mode πŸ™‚

June Favourites

First up we have the pom pom sandals from River Island. These will definitely divide opinions I know. Unfortunately these were limited edition and don’t seem to be on the website anymore. Asos have similar styles here though if you want to check them out.

The Kind Shower Gel from Cocoa Brown. I have a full a post all about the new Kind range here, if you want to check it out.

I’ve never done a blogpost on the Lorac Pro Palette for some weird reason! I had to buy it from Amazon, but that was a couple of years ago now.

Mac Whirl Lip liner can be bought from Brown Thomas in store or online here

The Rimmel Kate lipstick in number 45 is here on the Boots website.

I have a full post on the Sleek Solstice Palette here and you can pick it up from Boots (hopefully) in store or online here

The L’Occitane Verveine Cooling Hand Cream Gel is on their website here. I actually thought it was more expensive. €10.50 is ok for a 30ml tube, right?

And….we’re done πŸ™‚

As always thanks for taking the time to click and watch. If you liked the video, you can keep tabs on when I upload by subscribing to my Youtube channel here πŸ™‚

Have you any particular June Favourites? Let me know.

Marissa and the Cocoa Brown team have gone and surprised us all with their four new arrivals. I am sure you have seen them all over your social media feeds, but here’s a closer look at the new Cocoa Brown Kind Range!

Cocoa Brown Kind RangeMarissa has begun the expansion of Cocoa Brown, it no longer just means tan and complimenting products….a new Cocoa Brown Kind Range era has started πŸ™‚

This Cocoa Brown Travel Set is our introduction into these with travel friendly 50ml bottles of the products. These will be released in full size bottles too!

cocoa brown travel setirish beauty blogger

They are all scented with the Tahitian gardenia scent which is now synonymous with Cocoa Brown with a hint of peach in there too. Cocoa Brown actually say the fragrance used in the products is so minimal that they didn’t technically even have to list the ingredients used on the tube, but they did which is nice. The Kind Range is derived from natural sources and contains coconut oil and fruit sugars. They are paraben, alcohol and formaldehyde free. Marissa herself suffers with dermatitis on her scalp so wanted to create and shampoo and conditioner that works for sensitive scalp and skin conditions. They’re also kind to coloured hair and extensions. An added bonus too, the products are ph neutral, so they won’t get interfere with your fake tanning!

The Cocoa Brown Kind Range Travel Set also contains their new Face & Body Self Tanning Wipes.

beauty blog ireland

I was lucky enough to have lunch with Cocoa Brown yesterday to hear about (and of course receive) the new products. Marissa said upon talking to buyers of Cocoa Brown, there was a market for tanning wipes. So, she decided she wanted to release her own and do them right!

beauty blogger ireland

The wipes are said ‘to be an easy way to maintain your Cocoa Brown tan on the go’.

top irish beauty blogMarissa also made the point that when your travelling, the wipes won’t take up any of the liquid allowance in your luggage.

I will of course be giving all the products a go, so keep an eye on my social media to see how I get on. πŸ™‚

So there you have it, the newest Cocoa Brown Kind Range in travel form. What do you think?

It’s available in Cocoa Brown stockists since yesterday the 7th of June, so you can get your hands on it and try for yourself. Cloud10beauty have it to buy online here. The set is priced at €7.95.

So as all of us beauty lovers know, Bioderma recently made their way onto Irish shores. Bioderma were really the pioneers of micellar water, and also do lots of other lovely skincare products.

For Christmas, they’ve released a pouch containing 4 products.

irish beauty blog

I happened to see this while I was scrolling through twitter (I’m @beautynookie over there, shameless plug :). Then I saw the lovely Jen from Matte To Metallic chatting about getting one over on Snapchat. She had gotten it in McCabes Pharmacy in the Pavillion in Swords, so I high tailed it over to the Northside and grabbed me one too πŸ™‚

bioderma christmas pouch

If you have been wanting to try the Bioderma range (or you know someone who has), this is really a great buy.

In the Christmas Pouch you get:

A 15m of their Atoderm Crème.

bioderma atoderm creme

This is a fragrance free and paraben free moisturiser for dry to very dry skin.

You get a 100ml of the Bioderma Atoderm Gentle Shower Gel.

bioderma shower gel

This is a soap free gel for sensitive skin. So really great for any of us.

There’s also a full 40ml of the Anti Redness BB Cream.

bioderma anti redness bb cream

This on it’s own costs €16. It’s made for Sensitive Skin that’s prone to Rosacea. I’ve yet to use this yet, so I hope it works on my oily skin and the anti redness would be great for any blemishes. It also contains SPF 30 which is brilliant.

This is in the shade Light. When you first apply it, it looks really dark on the skin, but it blends in really well.

irish makeup and beauty blogbeauty blogirish beauty blog beautynook

The last product in the pouch is of course the Bioderma cult classic.

bioderma micellar water

You get a 100ml of their Micellar Water. This is hypo allergenic, so great for sensitive skin. I love using Micellar Water on cotton pads to remove the bulk of my makeup before full on cleansing. This means you are doing a double cleanse and are sure to be squeaky clean πŸ™‚Β  Cannot wait to give this a go. Everyone has such good things to say about it.

I am going to sunny Lanzarote for Christmas this year, so I bought this to bring with me.

The Bioderma Christmas Pouch will cost you €17.50, and is a great way to try some of the products without committing fully.

Have you tried any Bioderma? Let me know what you would recommend?
