I also tried out the €2 eyeliner stamp I picked up from Penneys before filming. Not a new concept by any means, but I’ve never tried one so I was kinda excited.
So be sure to click on the video above or here, if you want to see the cranberry and copper makeup tutorial in action, but also see me attempt to use the stamp 🙂
I was pretty happy with how this look turned out. The liner wasn’t my best work, but I was experimenting so hopefully you forgive me.
If you want to see what I used for my base, all the products were under investigation here. I filmed a first impressions video before the tutorial.
All affordable products were used in that too!
I am uploading this on New Years Eve, I thought it would make a nice alternative to the typical red lip or gold eye makeup looks we usually gravitate towards. It’s not exclusive to NYE, so you may read this at a later date. But, I just want to say Happy 2019 to you all. Thanks for clicking and commenting and following me on social media. I really appreciate all the interaction. 2018 was a weird year, for a lot of people, me included. Let’s hope 2019 is a upgrade 🙂
Roll on all the new beauty releases for 2019 too. Jaysis, I better start saving now 🙂

I picked up the Obsession X Belle Jorden Eyeshadow Palette completely on a whim in all honesty. I was just perusing the Boots makeup stands, as one does, and happened to give it an oul swatch.
Belle Jorden isn’t someone who is on my YouTube radar. I now see that’s because I am not young and cool! The embarrassment is palpable, don’t come at me 🙂 Anyway, she released the Obsession X Belle Jorden Eyeshadow Palette along with a collection of lip glosses. Well that’s what google told me anyways. Obsession is a sister brand of Revolution Beauty, and we have just recently got stands in Boots stores here in Ireland.
I picked up the palette, because I felt like I needed some more red toned shadows in my life and swatching the tester palette impressed me. And it was only €13 in store. I put up a little teaser video of it in action on my Instagram and got some good feedback. People who have it, were raving about it. And, people who were just checking it out for the first time (like me), were intrigued. This long winded introduction brings us here, I thought I would swatch the Obsession X Belle Jorden Eyeshadow Palette to show you all the colours in action.
There are 16 shades in total ranging from orange, brown, purple, plum and pink. And also including a matte white and black. There’s mattes, shimmers and a couple of fun foiled shadows, warm and a bit cooler in tone for good measure too.
From left to right we have:
Starlight, Glow Baby, Pops, Bear.
Sagittarius, Sassy, Hot Sauce, Queen.
1706, Mama’s Girl, Magic, So Cute.
Miami, 13, A.F, Lola.
Overall, I have to say I’m a fan of the Obsession X Belle Jorden Eyeshadow Palette! I really like the dare I say, grungy but still glam colour selection. The shadows for the most part are pigmented and I found what I’ve used properly so far, easy enough to work with. There is some fall out, but nothing too ridiculous. And it is very affordable which is always a plus. What do we think? Have you tried it yet? Are you a Belle fan?

I’ve always had a bit of an obsession with blue eyeliner, but as of late, it has gotten a bit out of control 🙂 I am perfectly OK with my obsession. It is a bit of fun, and adds a bit of interest to a simple makeup look.
The 80’s called and said, ‘Well done you’re doing a better job with it than we did!’ 🙂
Aqua or turquoise tend to be my blue eyeliner shades of choice, but I do dabble in other hues.
My most recent favourite and probably the one that gets the most questions, is the Inglot AMC Gel Liner in 70.
This is more of a matte sky blue.
Inglot gel liners are some of the best I’ve ever used. They last so well and come in a plethora of colours. I use this mostly in my waterline for a fun pop of colour. But a slick of it on the top lash line and lashings of mascara, looks awesome too!
TOP TIP: If your gel liner is starting to dry out, use something like Inglot Duraline. (Review here). Or Paese Drop & Fix to bring it back to life.
The shade that sparked my turquoise obsession was the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil in ‘Electric’. This is just the perfect vivid turquoise shade with a bit of sparkle I have ‘Gonzo’ too which is similar, but matte.
The Urban Decay Pencils are super creamy and last really well. A lot of more affordable brands do their own awesome version of this shade.
I use this shade the same as I would the sky blue. On the top lash line and in the waterline. I love to smudge it out on the lower lash line too, even with some matching shadow on top to intensify it.
Now I can’t talk about blue eyeliner and not throw navy into the mix. It’s such a great alternative to black or brown.
I did have a liquid one, but I seem to have misplaced it (duh). I love a navy winged line, I think it looks great on all eye colours. It adds a hint of something different without being over the top dramatic. It works beautifully in the water line, and on the lower lash line too though. These ones are from Barry M and another one of the Essence Longlasting Eye Pencils.
I would like to thank my lovely blogging pal Sinéad from The Beautiful Truth for inspiring this post. She has been killing the blue liner at the mo. And the lovely Yav aka Makeup Monster. I had put a pic of all of the blue in my collection up on my Instagram a little while ago. It was her that told me I need to write a post. Thanks gals 🙂
The only question left to ask is….would you rock blue eyeliner?
The L’Orèal Color Riche Gold Obsession Lipsticks were something I was very excited to have come through my door.
I am in love with the packaging first off. It is matte black with a gold gradient at the base of the tube. Very swish 🙂
There are five colours in the L’Orèal Color Riche Gold Obsession range. L’Orèal say: ‘As well as its intense colour pigment, each Color Riche lipstick shade is enriched with a combination of Omega-3 oils and Vitamin E which helps to protect your lips from drying. In 5 iconic shades to suit every skin tone; Nude Gold, Rose Gold, Rouge Gold, Plum Gold, as well as a statement Pure Gold shade.’ The gold shade can be used on it’s own or as a topper for other lipsticks.
I have three of the five to show.
First up we have ‘Nude Gold’. A brown nude colour.
The second one is ‘Pink Gold’. A light pink shade.
And the last one I have in my possession is my personal favourite out of the three. ‘Plum Gold’. A deep, purple toned plum.
All three lipsticks are laced with a somewhat subtle gold sparkle. This is meant to give the lips a more metallic look, which is very on trend at the moment. The lipstick doesn’t feel gritty at all though. The formula is rich and creamy and gives a glossy, but not sticky finish to the lips. It has a balmy feel. As it is more glossy, you won’t have much colour left behind after eating or drinking. The scent reminds me of my cabbage patch doll from back in the day, (which I am perfectly ok with 🙂 ). It is sweet, but not too sickly in my humble opinion. I actually wore ‘Plum Gold’ in a recent video of mine here if you want to check it out in actual action 🙂
I don’t think the L’Orèal Color Riche Gold Obsession Lipsticks would be necessarily for everyone. The colour range is pretty limited and they do have a sparkly finish.
For me, ‘Plum Gold’ is a definite winner. I think out of the three colours I have, that is the one I will actually pick up and wear. I really like the colour as well as the finish. The other two shades just don’t suit my complexion.
You can get the L’Oréal Color Riche Gold Obsession Lipsticks now in store or online here from Boots. They are priced at €9.99. However, Feel Unique have them online here too and they are charging €8.95, just an FYI 🙂
So what do you think? Would you rock any of the shades?
