I’m probably going to say this everytime I put up a post on Beautynook now. It’s been a while blog friends. I’m definitely not as dedicated to blogging as I once was. But sure I’m not gone completely. I still waffle about makeup over on Instagram on the daily πŸ™‚ This video was filmed on my phone, completely off the cuff the other day. I was about to dig into my only Marc Jacobs eyeshadow, that I had never used before, so wanted to document it. The lighting isn’t the best, but sure hopefully the banter is πŸ™‚ This is my really easy burgundy eye look.

easy burgundy eye look

This super simple burgundy eye look could essentially be done with one eyeshadow, some liner and mascara. I probably over complicated it to begin with, just because I was winging it and didn’t know how the fancy eyeshadow would perform. The Marc Jacobs O! Mercy O!Mega Eyeshadowmarc jacobs eyeshadow

I bought it on a whim for myself as a birthday present, along with an eyeliner of a similar colour which I use briefly too. The shadow is absolutely huge, it could probably double as a blush. The pay off is really great and it blended well too. I will say by the end of the evening though it was definitely patchy on my oily lids. I’ll reserve judgement though and try it with different bases before making a final decision on it.easy burgundy eye look

The Huda Beauty New Nude Palette was cracked out for this burgundy eye look too. I really don’t reach for this much in all honesty, but it is pretty to look at πŸ™‚top irish beauty blogger

The lip combo is from Essence, cheap cheerful and effective, I think. Nude by pinky nude. I’m too pale for full on nude lips.

I didn’t film my base routine, but it’s essentially the same as shown here, so you can check that out if you fancy some more content.

So there you have my easy burgundy eye look. Let me know what you think.

I’m a going through a bit of a budget beauty phase at the minute. Here is another one to throw into the mix. I created this really simple, but I think effective, gold glitter eyeshadow look using all Penneys/Primark products.

Now I did cheat ever so slightly, just because I didn’t have everything I needed, like eyeshadow primer for example from Penneys. But all the products after that are Penneys own brand, PS Beauty, or products that are readily available in store. I’m talking like I used a bucket of products, I didn’t. You’ll see in the video πŸ™‚ I have reviews already of the powder eyeshadows from Penneys here and the glitter and cream shadows here and here. That’s all the main bases covered I think in this gold glitter eyeshadow look.

There is chat about my eyebrows too in this video, which I’ve recently gotten micro bladed. I have put all my brow updated into highlights on my Instagram, just so I can refer to it if there’s any questions. I go through the process and the pricing and all that good stuff over there.

The gold glitter eyeshadow look itself I think is reasonably easy and I didn’t go in too heavy. I wanted it to be wearable, but still a bit sparkly.

The star of the show is the €1 Penneys eyeshadow called Gold Digger.

I’ve also come to the realisation in the past few weeks, that doing your eyeshadow before your base is brilliant. You can clean up any fall out and correct your work and you base won’t have glitter eyeshadow in it πŸ™‚

I am super happy with how this turned out, the spot under my eye is really annoying, but I have to get over that πŸ™‚

I kept the skin super simple, and added a matte pinky nude lip and a good splodge of highlighter to finish things off. Let me know what you think. Do you rate any of the Penneys makeup?

Another day, another makeup look with the BPerfect Carnival Palette. I reach for this beauty a ridiculous amount. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that all too well, apologies πŸ™‚ The colours just make me happy, inspire me and blend really bloody well. This time, I am opting for a relatively easy orange eyeshadow makeup tutorial. Well initially it was going to be a full on tutorial, but the neighbours were doing work out their back garden. So now it’s a get ready with me style video. Hopefully that’s ok too.

I did another makeup tutorial using the mint shade in this palette here too if you want to check that out for more inspiration.

I love using bright shades like this orange eyeshadow, but still making it easy somewhat wearable and easy to work with too. The typical ‘instagram makeup looks’, are amazing, but they’re just not me. I’m definitely more of an attainable, real life makeup gal, but I still like to have fun with it all.

Some of the main products I used in this makeup tutorial are the L’OrΓ©al Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation. I cannot get enough of this stuff at the minute. The Essence Liner is swatched here. Mascara is here. Concealer is Tarte Shape Tape. I have a review of this here. The blush is from my most recent Colourpop haul. The Wet n Wild highlighter is swatched here. Lipstick is the nude from these Bourjois lippies here. I love the formula of these.

Ok, enough jabbering on. If you want to see the orange eyeshadow in action, click on the video at the top of the post or you can go directly to my YouTube channel to see the full get ready with me video. I really enjoyed creating this makeup. It was one of those days where it just went to plan πŸ™‚

I always say, don’t judge me for calling this a ‘makeup tutorial’, so I just want to begin with that statement, because I am well aware of my lack of major skills in the makeup department. It’s just a blanket statement and we understand what it means πŸ™‚ Ok now that’s out of the way….

makeup tutorial new in products

It’s been a minute since I sat down in front of the camera and just did a face. So I wanted to do just that. I have been lucky enough to receive some products from PR over the last couple of weeks that are really decent too. So how did I incorporate them? By doing a ‘makeup tutorial’ with some new in products, genius.beauty blog ireland

For the most part I used new products, I did have to throw in some oldies too, just because I didn’t have a full face of makeup to use. I’m not that popular πŸ™‚ The new products are mostly from Catrice and Essence, as their new Spring\Summer ranges have just launched. There is loads more products to check out from the brands, I just have a cross section.

I also had some newbies from L’OrΓ©al, including the Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation, which I am currently obsessed with, no lie! And the Maybelline Made For All Lippies. Oh and the new skinny brow pencil from IT Cosmetics.

For me, the star of the show is the Topshop Chameleon Eyeshadow in Evolve. This kind of defeats the purpose of the makeup tutorial because it’s not new. But they have reinvented their beauty range, so I’m using that as my excuse. I need to get my hands on more colours of these shadows.

I am no makeup artist, so the makeup definitely didn’t go to plan. There was a few hiccups along the way, and my winged liner left a lot to be desired. But we got there and I was fairly happy with the finished result.

I know, I know! This video only went up at the end of last year showing you my bargain River Island find. But having friends like Siopaella means I come into contact with some beautiful things. And sometimes those things stick, like my new Louis Vuitton handbag πŸ™‚

Louis Vuitton Jeune Fille

I’ve gotten some questions about my new purchase, so I thought it would be fun to answer them in video form. My new very fancy purchase, is a vintage find from the 90’s, which makes me love it even more. It’s called the Louis Vuitton Jeune Fille Crossbody bag. I found out later that Jeune Fille means young girl in French, which I am at heart, but definitely not in real life πŸ™‚

Louis Vuitton SiopaellaI am not a designer expert whatsoever. That’s Ella’s job, so be sure to follow Siopaella on Instagram to keep up with all their awesome content. Their unboxing videos are the best!

There is of course wear and tear to my new Louis Vuitton splurge, it’s old and it’s been used. I am completely ok with that, that comes with buying vintage. In the video, I tell you how I came across the bag and why I bought it, so I won’t bore you with any of that in written form.

And as an extra little bonus at the end, I rummage through it and show you the compartments that it has and all the crap I can fit into it. Including a stupid amount of makeup, of course πŸ™‚

Makeup for this occasion was pretty simple. I used the Anastasia Sultry Palette, which I happened to get in Siopaella too!! And also my beloved Urban Decay Torch eyeliner in my water line. Nothing ground breaking.

Let me know what you think of my fairly pricey Louis Vuitton splurge. It’ll be a while before my next, that’s for sure πŸ™‚

I’m always amazed at the difference when I see my before and after makeup shots. It’s not that I hate myself without makeup, I’ve somewhat come to terms with my lot. It will just never not be cool, the things you can achieve with makeup πŸ™‚ I was going out for my brother’s birthday on Saturday. (If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen). I turned the camera on and created this easy as always, gold smokey eye look.

I’ll try to list the most important products I used for this. Usually I take a photograph of them all for reference. But I was just kind of in the moment for this, so I didn’t take it too seriously, hope you don’t mind.

I spent the entirety of the video listening to my time capsule on Spotify. It’s mainly 90’s and 00’s hip hop and R n’ B That’s why there’s music over most of it πŸ™‚ All I knew is, I wanted to create a gold smokey eye with a bit of glitter. I think I achieved that.

beauty blogger ireland

I used all Makeup Geek eyeshadows. They were just what I gravitated towards on the day. Tikki Hut and Gold Digger were the main components and I used the Penney PS Glitter Eyeshadow over top.

Revolution Conceal & Define foundation with Tarte Shape Tape were the more full coverage liquid base of choice.

Blush was theBalm Balm Beach with the Pixi Glow-y GlossamarΒ Duo in Subtle Sunrise. Two of my very faves. Lips are Mac Soar Lip Liner with Syrup lippie over top.

My brows never really go to plan when I film. I think it’s because day to day I stand at the mirror doing my makeup. When I film I sit down πŸ™‚ But sure they were grand, just nothing to write home about.

And that is pretty much it for my gold smokey eye look and an obnoxious amount of pictures of myself ha. Click the video above or here to see the whole thing in action. And let me know what you think.
