Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder GelèeDid I need the Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelèe in my life? Hell to the no. This was a complete lust product. You might remember I did a post here a while back about my beauty shopping lust list. This was on it along with a few gorge other things.irish beauty blog

Every Summer,  the Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess collection is released again. Usually reimagined somewhat, but still familiar if you’ve been keeping an eye on it throughout the years.

Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelèe

I’ve always lusted after the Illuminating Powder Gelée. The packaging alone had me hooked visually. I’ve tried to get my hands on it a few times, but it sells out super quickly. So I’ve been actually checking up on it regularly this year. Yes I am a makeup addict through and through ha. The release coincided with my 33rd birthday this year, so I was able to ask John to get it for me as a bday treat. Score!estee lauder bronze goddess

Off the bat the Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelèe for 2018, visually is just gorgeous. For €49, it would kind of want to be. It’s not as weighty as I anticipated, it is a plastic compact, but I can live with that.irish beauty blogger

I feel like this year’s representation is definitely more golden and glittery than other years. The pigment and shine pay off are really lovely though. The sparkle is just something to note. In case you’re curious the shade name is 01 Heat Wave. There is only one to choose from.

beauty blog ireland

You can see there is a lighter shade within the darker more bronzed highlight shade. It nearly looks like a pretty sunburst within the pan.

esteé Lauder Bronze Goddess Ireland

Esteé Lauder call this an ‘all over bronzer’. I can’t get on board with that at all. I bought it knowing it’s a highlight and it definitely is a highlighter!

beauty blogger ireland

Unfortunately probably a highlighter that’s too dark for pale ol’ me. But by god, I will make it work 🙂

I am so glad to have gotten my hands on the Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelèe for this year. It’s not the most practical purchase, but it will be something that I will hang on to forever as it’s limited edition.irish beauty sitetop beauty blogger irelandtop irish beauty site

I bought mine from Debenhams here, although it is out of stock as I write this post. Have you picked up any of them over the years? What’s your thoughts?

afforfable makeup lovesI am back with another installment of current affordable makeup loves. This has just become a bit of a thing now on Beautynook. I am constantly trying out new makeup, but there is always certain products that stay in the main makeup stash!

affordable makeup loves

My last installment of affordable makeup loves was here if you fancy checking it out.

I have five makeup products to talk about this time. First up is actually two products I hauled from Beauty Bay on Black Friday. (You can check out the full haul here).

They are both from the brand LA Girl. The first one is their Glide Gel Liner in Brown.irish beauty blogger

I have worn this nearly every day I’ve worn makeup since it came. It is so damn creamy and pigmented. I am going to sound really dramatic here, but it’s a dream to use. I find now since I’m getting older. The skin around my eyes isn’t as tight as it once was. I’m in my 30’s now, sad times. Some kohl pencils can drag a bit on the upper lash line.irish beauty blog

This honestly does exactly what it says on the tin though. It glides on, lasts really well and they also come in loads of different colours as well. They are €4.70 on the Beauty Bay website here.

My other LA Girl love, that again, I’ve been using every single day is the Shade Slim Brow Pencil.beauty blog ireland

I have the shades Medium Brown and Espresso. I’ve definitely been reaching for Medium Brown more though. It’s a tad cooler in tone. I love a micro brow pencil and these are a really great one. They are €5.90, again from Beauty Bay here.beauty blogger ireland

My next affordable makeup love is one of the Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipsticks.top irish beauty blog

I literally haven’t stopped harping on about these. (I have a full video and blog post on them here). The shade 02 Flaming’rose has become my everyday lip shade in particular though. top irish beauty bloggertop beauty blog ireland

It’s a really flattering pinky nude shade for paler, more pink toned skin like mine. These lippies are uber pigmented, apply really smoothly and last really well on the lips too. I would for sure recommend them. They are the cheapest online from Feel Unique here.

I have a eyeshadow brush for my fourth product. I actually received this in a goodie bag. It is the Blank Canvas, Rose Gold, E01 Round Eye Blending Brush from their Dimension 1 Collection.dublin beauty blog

I had this on my desk still in the package when I decided to wash and sort through the main brushes I use. My eye brushes were still drying when I had to put on a face of makeup, so I picked up this. I literally did a whole eye look with this one brush.irish beauty siteirish makeup blog

It’s a good size for crease work and using on the lower lash line too. You can apply product with it, but it’s also nice and fluffy so you can blend with it too. A great all rounder. You can find it on their website here.

And that leaves us with one more favourite. This is the limited edition Under The Midnight Sea highlighter from Wet n Wild.top beauty blogger ireland

It’s from their Midnight Mermaid Collection which is in stores now, I believe.beauty blogtop beauty blog

It’s lovely cool toned gold, soft powder highlighter. Wet n Wild have had some absolute highlighter gems over the past couple of years. This is definitely one of them. It’s gold but has like a green iridescent to it. Very wearable though and very pretty. I’ve been wearing this lots since I got it in the post.

And there concludes my current affordable makeup loves. Let me know what you think 🙂

Yep, we can all panic. It’s September favourites time. How did that even happen?

top irish beauty bloggerI am in disbelief that it’s October! The C word is just creeping up on us…..fast!

My September favourites are much like any other month. They are a mixed bag of things that I feel I have been reaching for alot over the past four weeks. This month definitely had a bit of a skincare theme. It’s probably the change in the seasons that has me more conscious, unconsciously 🙂

September Favourites 2017

Of course there is some makeup in there too, that can’t not happen. Makeup stages are my thing. I will wear something religiously for weeks and then completely forget about it. Yes, I am fickle. It doesn’t mean I don’t still love something. It just means my obsession changes focus because I have a short attention span 🙂

September Favourites 2017

My September favourites include:
  • The Bioderma Micellar Water limited edition pump bottle €16 from Cloud10beauty here.
  • A couple of products from Shiseido’s new Waso range . I can only find the full range online from Harvey Nichols here. It is a more affordable range from the brand. You can see the synopsis and ingredients of all the products on the Shiseido website here.
  • Pure Potions Skin Salvation Bath And Body Oil. This range is available in store from Holland and Barrett. I found the oil directly on the brands website here too.
  • Mac Syrup Lipstick. I did a post on this a little while ago here.
  • Stila Magnificent Metal in Rose Gold Retro. I used this in my go to rose gold makeup look here.
  • The Elf Shimmer Highlighting Powder. You can see this swatched here.
  • And the finally my gold mini Casio watch. John bought me this years ago from Asos. They don’t have it anymore. I found it for the cheapest price in Ireland here from Argos if you want to check it out.

I saw the Clarins 4 Colour All In One Pen online last year and I have been so excited for it to launch. Not going to lie, I was kind of stalking it online.

Clarins 4 Colour All In One Pen

It is such a nifty idea. I attended the launch of the Clarins Spring/Summer collection a couple of weeks back. They have some gorgeous releases that are hitting shops at the moment.

And, I was super lucky to leave with a gorgeous goodie bag including the Clarins 4 Colour All In One Pen.

top irish beauty site

It looks exactly like the Bic pens we all had at school with the multiple colours. It comes with four shades, 3 eye liners and one nude lip liner. You click down the shade you want to use on the top and then twist the pen in the middle to release the product.

Within the stylo, you get a matte black:

And then finally a tan nude lip liner shade:

For me, the lip liner is a lovely creamy consistency, but the colour doesn’t really suit my complexion. It’s a bit too warm. The three eye liners overall are easy to use, soft and opaque. I probably have the hardest time building up the blue shade consistency wise, but you do get there with it. The colours are all really wearable.

irish beauty blogger

They are not waterproof, but do last really well on the upper lash line. I’ve worn all three eye liners and none of them transferred or moved on me.

I think the Clarins 4 Colour All One Pen really is a novel idea, and I think the products inside are fairly decent too. You definitely have to get used to the width of the pen and the pencils themselves. I don’t think they would work great for detailed work. But to have all of the colours in one place and literally a click a way is genius! It will make a great travel companion 🙂

It is limited edition and only available in select countries. So, if you like what you see, try get your hands on it asap. I’ve seen it in a few local chemists myself already. I have found a link to in online from Arnotts here. It is retailing in Ireland for €36.

Are you intrigued by it?

Let me introduce to you the Sleek The Rockstars Collection in all of it’s glory.

Sleek The Rockstars Collection

I was lucky enough to go to the launch of it this week and went home with the whole collection generously in my goodie bag. So, since I have it all and it is rolling into Boots around the country as we speak. I had to swatch and get it up to show you as soon as possible.

Sleek The Rockstars Collection

The packaging of the Sleek The Rockstars Collection off the bat is super lovely. Even the outer packaging, which I had to show you as well 🙂

Sleek Makeup

It consists of an eyeshadow palette, two Strobing soufflés, and two Lip VIP lipsticks.

Both of the soufflés have actual coloured glitter running through them. I think these would actually make really nice eyeshadow bases. They would work really well with the Diamond In The Rough Palette. You will be able to pick these up for €8.99.

Lastly in the collection we have lip VIP metallic finish lipsticks.

‘Scandalous’ is described as a ruby red shade.

‘Superstar’ is described as an amethyst purple.

It is a deep, but I think wearable purple colour with again a blue toned shimmer. The formula of these lippies is so lovely. They are soft and creamy but still super pigmented and last really well. These will set you back €7.49 a piece.

And there you have the new limited edition Sleek The Rockstars Collection. 🙂 It is being rolled out to Sleek stockists as we speak. So keep an eye out in store and online if anything takes your fancy. I saw it at the start of the week in Boots, Dundrum!

I hauled the Alice In Wonderland Palette from Urban Decay in my latest Youtube video here if you fancy seeing what else I got too 🙂

Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland Palette

The other half kindly bought me it as a very early birthday present, a month early in fact!

Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland Palette

This is the second Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland Palette to coincide with the second movie being released by Disney, ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’ I have a lot of Urban Decay Palettes, I can’t call myself a hardcore collector because I don’t get all of them, but I do enjoy the visuals that come with the fancier releases and I sometimes get sucked in. This was definitely one that sucked me in. It’s just too pretty!

The packaging is just so whimsical and fitting, Urban Decay really have nailed it, I think!Urban Decay IrelandUrban Decay PaletteAlice In Wonderland

So, onto the stars of the show, the eyeshadows!

irish beauty blog urban decay

On the first row, from left to right, we have:

Second Row:

Third Row:

Fourth Row

There is 20 eyeshadow shades total in the Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland Palette and they are 1.3 grams each. In my opinion, the varying colours and finishes make for a maybe not practical day to day palette, but it is usable and you will get wear out of most of the shades if you do like to have fun with your eye makeup 🙂 There is a couple of transitional mattes and shimmery highlights to help pull looks together, no matte highlight colours though! The pigment is pretty amazing too as you can probably tell from the swatches. They are super buttery and were a dream to apply….on my arm at least 🙂

You also get a super cute dual ended brush inside the palette with a blending brush on one end and a flat shader brush on the other.

irish beauty blogmakeup and beauty blogirish beauty blogger

Can you tell I’m a fan? As someone who owns a good amount of makeup and is surrounded by it on a daily basis, I can sometimes be a bit numb to new releases, but just looking at this palette makes me happy 🙂

You can buy the Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland palette from Debenhams online here or in store for €49 It is limited edition though!

Let me know what you think?
