Gold Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial GRWM

I’m always amazed at the difference when I see my before and after makeup shots. It’s not that I hate myself without makeup, I’ve somewhat come to terms with my lot. It will just never not be cool, the things you can achieve with makeup 🙂 I was going out for my brother’s birthday on Saturday. (If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen). I turned the camera on and created this easy as always, gold smokey eye look.

I’ll try to list the most important products I used for this. Usually I take a photograph of them all for reference. But I was just kind of in the moment for this, so I didn’t take it too seriously, hope you don’t mind.

I spent the entirety of the video listening to my time capsule on Spotify. It’s mainly 90’s and 00’s hip hop and R n’ B That’s why there’s music over most of it 🙂 All I knew is, I wanted to create a gold smokey eye with a bit of glitter. I think I achieved that.

I used all Makeup Geek eyeshadows. They were just what I gravitated towards on the day. Tikki Hut and Gold Digger were the main components and I used the Penney PS Glitter Eyeshadow over top.

Revolution Conceal & Define foundation with Tarte Shape Tape were the more full coverage liquid base of choice.

Blush was theBalm Balm Beach with the Pixi Glow-y Glossamar Duo in Subtle Sunrise. Two of my very faves. Lips are Mac Soar Lip Liner with Syrup lippie over top.

My brows never really go to plan when I film. I think it’s because day to day I stand at the mirror doing my makeup. When I film I sit down 🙂 But sure they were grand, just nothing to write home about.

Makeup In A Hurry

I’m feeling very makeup video-y this week it seems 🙂 I’m back with a more wearable everyday look. This is what I do when I am in a bit of a hurry but still want to look put together and presentable.

I would more or less do a variation of this makeup look most days I wear it. I would just switch up the eye or lip colour. But, the principle and the application would be the same. Unless, I am trialing specific products or I’m feeling really fancy…or lazy.

It’s really simple and honestly takes no major skills at all. I adore makeup, but I’m no professional. I even added in me (kinda, sorta), doing my hair too 🙂 Have a click here to watch the video in full, or you can watch it above.

Beauty Bay Black Friday Mini Haul!

I had no major plans to do any Black Friday shopping in all honesty. At the time I was fairly broke and couldn’t really justify more beauty purchases. As I did a blog post about the deals that were going on, I was aware of them though and I couldn’t help having a look on Beauty Bay!

I didn’t buy a huge amount, but I thought I would give you a look at the couple of bits I did pick up. I picked up bits I actually needed and then a couple of random things just to try. Beauty Bay had 30% off for the Black Friday weekend and they had a queued system to actually get onto the site. This shopping was done on Sunday evening, so although I was eyeing up Zoeva palettes and the likes too, they were all sold out! Probably for the best as my bank account would have taken a major battering 🙂 Zoeva products are actually cheaper on Beauty Bay in general for some reason, if you’re ever in the market though.

I spent €25 in total on the website which got me free shipping to Ireland.

I needed a brow pencil and an eyeshadow primer. So, I thought I would try some from a different brand. The LA Girl products are cheap in general and with 30% off they were even cheaper.

I picked up one of their PRO.primer HD Eyeshadow Primer in Nude.

Then, for brows I got two of their Shady Slim Brow Pencils.

One in Medium Brown and one in Espresso. Just because I’ve been enjoying using two tones of pencil through my brows of late. I thank Eylure for that. (Review of their Fleur De Force Brow Define Pencil here).

The LA Girl Shade Slim Brow Pencils come in ten shades which is pretty awesome from the Beauty Bay website here.

While I was browsing the brand, I decided to also get some their eye pencils to try as well.

Two shades of their Glide Gel Pencils went into my basket. Brown and Gypsy Teal. I find it hard to say no to a teal eye liner 🙂

These pencils are available in 19 shades here.

I decided to try one of their Endless Semi Permanent Auto Eyeliners too. The shade Olive was clicked. I like to play around with coloured liner.

My last Beauty Bay purchase was an eyeshadow from Makeup Geek. I went with one of their foiled eyeshadow in the shade Whimsical.

It reminded me of Mac’s All That Glitters in the picture and I thought a more intensely pigment version of that shade would be a nice addition to my Makeup Geek collection. It’s definitely way more pink and cool toned though.

Night Out Makeup Look – GRWM

I filmed this on St Patrick’s Day. I decided to be lazy during the day and just watched the parade on the TV and veg out. For the evening though, myself, John and some friends went for some festive drinks 🙂 So, I blarred the music, turned the camera on and filmed myself doing my makeup. You know a love a get ready with me style video. This is my night out makeup look on behalf of St Paddy!

I wanted an excuse to use my new Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in ‘Kitten Karma’.

I bought mine off the Stila website directly here. It pains me to say it cost over €30 to get it shipped here, but it was sold out everywhere else. So, I took the hit, because I had major fomo 🙂

Easy St Patrick’s Day Makeup Look

I wouldn’t be Irish and the occasion would not be marked if I didn’t at least attempt a St Patrick’s Day Makeup Look.

I am a big fan of green eyeshadow, so for me this is something I would wear anytime honestly. But we will call it St Patrick’s Day makeup because it fits the bill too 🙂 As always I am not a makeup artist, so this is just something really simple and easy to achieve, but hopefully fun at the same time too!

I did a St Patrick’s Day makeup look last year, when I first set up my YouTube channel here. This is full on green. I thought this year, I would make it a little more subtle, but still festive at the same time. Think of it like your own makeup, that you are comfortable with, just with a hint of Paddy thrown in 🙂

I used a mixture of the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette which I have all the details on here. I used some Makeup Geek shadows, which you can buy online here. Festive Makeup Get Ready With Me

I know it’s a tad early, but Christmas is only a few weeks away now. I am a big fan of Santy season, I’ll take any excuse to talk about it here on Beautynook 🙂 I haven’t done a Get Ready With Me style video in a while so, I thought I would start the season off with a Festive Makeup GRWM 🙂

I reckon I can call it festive makeup because I added some Christmas music over it and used a bit of sparkle.

I did speed the video up, but I edited very little of it out, so this is my makeup pretty much from start to finish, just 4 times as fast. I was going out that night so I did apply a fair bit of slap, but sure we’re all makeup lovers here, right? 🙂
