I am a big fan of the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Filling Pencil & Brush. I’ve bought a few over the years. I ran out of my current one and went into Boots to stock up. For some reason I’ve never done a post on it, but you can see it on the Boots website here if you’re interested ๐Ÿ™‚ Instead of going with my old reliable I picked up it’s chunkier friend, the Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow, which is a sculpting crayon and setting gel.

I think Boots only stock two shades of this, in Ireland anyways, which is not ideal! You can get it in Blonde Ambition and the darker one which I have here Brown & Out.

The pencil itself is flat with an angled edge, it nearly has a triangle shape to in when you look at it head on.

It’s a hard waxy pencil, which I personally like in an eyebrow pencil,as you have more control over the product and are less likely to over do it. It’s a pigmented pencil and applies easily onto the skin. On first glance, the colour looks like a good neutral shade, however it does apply a little warm. I’m fine with that personally as my brows (and hair) have a got a bit of red warmth.

The pencil is quite thick though and as you use it, it does wear down and mine has crumbled a couple of times, although I feel like this happens with most retractable pencils, so I don’t really hold that against the product. You just have to be careful about the amount you twist up when you’re using it.

Because the pencil is on the thicker side, it is hard to get a defined line with it. If you are someone who is not too blessed in the eyebrow hair department, I don’t think the Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow would necessarily be for you. I am kind of in between, I do have brows but they don’t grow naturally on point, so I can get away with using it somewhat, I do have to be careful though! I generally add a bit of brow powder over any pencil I might use, just to help the setting process and fill in any gaps I might miss. I have used the pencil and setting gel on their own a few times though and they lasted quite well!

You sacrifice the spooley end like on the Brow Filling Pencil & Brush, for a setting gel.

It is a clear setting gel and does a really great job at getting your brows into formation (bit of a nod to Beyonce there ๐Ÿ™‚ ), without making them hard or crispy…nobody likes a crispy eyebrow!

Overall, I like the Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow. I have to admit though I like the Brow Filling Pencil & Brush more. You just have more control with it! If you have fabulous bushy brows and just want to fill in the gaps and clean them up a bit, the 2 in 1 brow works really well. I, personally just need a bit more definition in my life ๐Ÿ™‚

The Soap & Glory Archert 2 in 1 Brow is available from Boots in store and online here and it will set you back โ‚ฌ13.50.

Maybelline Color Show Crayon Kohl Liners

Looking online, the Maybelline Color Show Crayon Kohl Liners come in 9 colours, Maybelline have them all on their American website here. And as usual they seem to be slightly different to what we have gotten in Ireland, this always confuses me, but sure look ๐Ÿ™‚ They don’t seem to be on the Boots website as of yet though and I could only find 6 different colours in my local Boots. At the minute they are doing buy one Maybelline product get another half price which is nice too. That means there will another new Maybelline product post this week, so keep an eye out ๐Ÿ™‚

The shade 520 is a light sea foam colour. If you follow me on social media, you know I have been loving putting this in my waterline for a bit of a pop at the minute.

There was also a matte black on the stand too, which I didn’t pick up.

In my opinion the Maybelline Color Show Crayon Kohl Liners are super creamy and really pigmented. They are really blendable and apply smoothly and easily onto the skin and even onto the waterline.

The color range is pretty, particularly 520 which is probably my favourite ๐Ÿ™‚

I did swatch them all together on my arm and then after taking photos and giving them time to set, I wiped across them.

As you can see they all smudged so they definitely don’t set. I have used a couple of them on my water line and they do last pretty well considering. For me, using them on my lash line would mean setting them with a powder I think though.

I can’t link them yet unfortunately, but I picked them up in my local Boots and they cost โ‚ฌ4.49 each but I did get them on the buy on get one half price deal.

Do the Maybelline Color Show Crayon Kohl Liners float your boat? Let me know ๐Ÿ™‚

I haven’t done monthly favourites since having my previous blog, so it’s literally been years now. But I thought I would try get back into it again and give you some of my March Favourites in video form.

irish beauty blogYou can watch my March Favourites on beautynook here by just clicking on the video above or you can head on over to my youtube channel hereย  and if you like it be sure to subscribe sure ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t have many things that I properly loved for the month of March and I also didn’t go into much detail of the items. I just wanted to try my hand at a chatty style video, I hope that’s ok?

If you want to see the palette in action, I used it in my last Get Ready With Me Video hereย  (I used the lippie in that video too), and I have a full blogpost on the palette here aswell.

I reviewed the foundation also a while back here, but as you can see from the video, my thoughts on it have kind of changed, I’m a tad more fond of it now ๐Ÿ™‚

You can buy the fragrance from Brown Thomas here, if you’re curious.

And if you’re looking to sing along to some 90’s R n’b hits like myself, just search 90’s R n’ b over on Spotify…it’s so worth it, I promise ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much for watching (and reading of course). I’ll hopefully try to do these every month if you like them. So, be sure to let me know if you’re into monthly favourites, or what kind of videos you actually do like watching. All constructive feedback is very welcome, I’m still very new to the Youtube media ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy April, hope it’s a brilliant one for you. Roll on the warmer weather!
