It’s been a while since I sat down and did one of these videos. I think this was the last one! My eyebrows have come a loooonggggg way since then πŸ™‚ This time I asked on Instagram if any of you had any questions. Thank god you did! So if you want to get to know me a little better, click on the video above.

get to know me

Would ya look at me posing, pretending I’m reading the lovely questions. I definitely am not, I was just trying to get a thumbnail. Also something you might not know about SEO, it loves pictures, so here’s another one πŸ™‚

I don’t give my whole life away online. I don’t think there’s any real need and also, I’m not a hugely interesting person. But I think it’s important to get to know me a little. Instastories is where you see a lot of it, but it’s nice to shake it up every now and again.

I was really digging this super easy makeup look too, so I wanted to show that off a bit as well. And for anyone wondering, cause I would be too! My awesome Ms Piggy jumper is from Zara. I got it while we were in Spain, but I know it was here in store too for a minute. Obsessed is not the word, although it isn’t the best quality.

In this get to know me q&a. I speak about blogging, kids, beauty and a few things in between. So grab a cuppa and a biscuit and have a click. I’d love to know what you think too. Do you really care about the people you follow online? Or do you just want to hear about makeup and that’s it?

Please do let me know. And as always, thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate it.

I am way late on the March Favourites for 2018 bandwagon. We are well into April. But sure I thought, better late than never, right?

March Favourites

My March Favourites this year are a bit of a mixed bag of beauty (of course), fashion, (in inverted commas ha), and a Netflix recommendation.

march favourites

March has been a bit of a funny month for me. I have been job hunting, but in a different way from what I am used to. Blogging for the last four years has given me a love for digital media and I’ve realised it’s the industry I would love to work in. Don’t get me wrong, I would love nothing more than to write about beauty full time, but here in Ireland, as someone like me, that’s not really a reality right now.

irish beauty blogirish beauty blogger

So March has been a been a whirl wind of interviews, beauty writing and life stuff. It’s been weirdly a month of clarity for me, so for that I am very grateful. Also, the weather was getting a teeny bit warmer through the month, so that helps everything. I wouldn’t be Irish if I didn’t bring the weather into this sum up somehow πŸ™‚

Ok, I digressed completely there, let’s get into my random bag of March Favourites.

top irish beauty blog

I talk more about them of course in the video, but I will link what I can here.

The Ella & Jo Squeaky Clean Brush Cleanser is my first beauty fave. You can buy it directly from their website or Meaghers Pharmacy also stock it. (It’s currently 20% off from Meaghers.)

I chat about the Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel Nail Colors all of the time but the shade, Lavender Out Loud, has been my go to shade through March.

The Nudestix Intense Lip + Cheek Pencils are available to us from Cult Beauty. I chat (and am wearing), the shade Kiss.beauty blog ireland

My Betty & Biddy necklace that I show isn’t on their website now, but I will link them here so you can check out what else they have on offer.top irish beauty blogger

The jeans are from Penneys and Littlewoods as I mention. I don’t have links to either, sorry.beauty blogger ireland

And then finally my honourable fave is Wild Wild Country on Netflix. I’ll link the Wikipedia page here so you can check it out. It’s a mind boggler πŸ™‚

And there you have my March favourites for this year. Thanks for clicking as always, I really appreciate it.

I am waaaayyyyy late to the party. Life gets in the way sometimes. But, I am finally here to chat about my July Favourites for 2017 πŸ™‚

This month’s run down is a random array of things from alcohol to perfume and then, of course a smattering of makeup products too. We’re staying in our friends house dog sitting at the minute. So, these are all things I packed up and brought with me. That definitely means they’re worthy of my (very late) July favourites, right?

july favourites

  • First up is gin. Surprise, surprise πŸ™‚ I chat more about my gin love here.
  • Next up is my new Molly Jeans from River Island. (Similar here).
  • Marc Jacobs Daisy Parfum. You can buy it here.
  • Lacoste Eau De Lacoste Magnetic Pour Elle Parfum. On the Debenhams website here.
  • Rimmel Eastend Snob Lip Liner. You can see it swatched here. Lov Cosmetics Colour & Care lipstick in ‘Miriam’s Rosewood’. Lov Cosmetics is sold in selected pharmacies across the country.
  • Wet n Wild One Step Wonder Gel Nail Polish in ‘Crime of Passion’. I get these in bigger Dunnes Stores or Penneys.
  • My last July favourite is the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Illuminating Powder in ‘Champagne Sorbet’. I have a full blogpost showcasing this here.

My makeup for this video was a bit different to my usual slap. I got carried away with some purple eyeshadow and blue liner.

I am going through a bit of a top heavy phase with my eye shadow. I’m enjoying just applying colour on the top lash line and leaving the bottom with just mascara. Or just a tiny but of definition.

Special shout out to Louis the Schnoodle for making another cameo in one of my videos. Watch until the end to see just how cute he really is. πŸ™‚

It’s April Favourites time for 2017. This year is going too damn fast! But, the weather is getting a little bit better and it’s a bit brighter out. So, I can complain (of course), but I won’t πŸ™‚

top irish beauty blogger

My April Favourites for this year consist of mostly makeup, of course. But there is a hair care tool and a new tech gadget, that myself and John splurged on. We had a busy month, so it was a bit of a treat for getting through it.

  • L’OrΓ©al Infallible 24 Matte. Review here.
  • L’OrΓ©al True Match Foundation. Review here.
  • Mac Sheertone Shimmer Blush in ‘Springsheen’. Available from Brown Thomas here.
  • Maybelline Color Show Pencil in 520. Swatched here.
  • Maybelline Brow Precise Micro Brow Pencil in ‘Soft Brown’. Available from the Boots website here.
  • Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 13. This is a new colour and I cannot find it online. But the older shades are available from Debenhams here.
  • Paese Artist Silky Matt Liquid Lipstick in 707. I have swatches of it here.
  • Canon G7X Mark ii. I researched this camera to within in a inch of my life :). I already have a DSLR, so I am hoping this will help me up my photo game on social media. And then maybe myself and himself can experiment with vlogging too. I bought mine from Conns Cameras on Claredon Street here in Dublin. They were super nice and helpful. It is on their website here, if you want to check out the specs and all that good stuff.

‘Guess who’s back, back again?’ Well you know from the title really. It’s favourites time. Yay! It’s time for me to round up my March Favourites and give you an insight into why they have been floating my boat for the last few weeks.

top beauty blog ireland

Be honest with me, do you actually like monthly favourite posts? I, myself love reading what people have been loving. I would like to think we use and love the products for more than just the month in question. It’s really weird that you definitely gravitate towards different things though for spurts of time. Especially months that we are transitioning into different seasons, so you tend use different products.

irish beauty youtuber

My March favourites consist of as always mostly beauty (I am a beauty blogger first and foremost of course :))

Obviously I go into more details in the video above, so you can just click on it or go directly to my YouTube channel here.

I filmed this after a few funny days personally. It was also a few funny days in ‘blogging world’ too. So I ramble a bit and am a bit scatterbrained, I hope you don’t mind πŸ™‚

The products I mention are:

  • Rayban Clubmasters. John bought me these a few years ago now from Asos here. I always buy from Asos in pounds, it tends to work out cheaper.
  • Jo Malone Basil & Neroli Cologne. I have a full review on this here.
  • & Other Stories Fleur De Mimosa Body Lotion. I got it in store here in Dublin but they sell online here too.
  • Vita Liberata Body Blur. Beauty Bay seems to have this for the cheapest I can find online here.
  • H&M Colour Essence Pencil in Raw Umber. They are on the H&M website here. I got mine in store.
  • Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Cream Eyeshadows. I have a full review of the two I own here.
  • Mac All That Glitters single eyeshadow. I got this from Brown Thomas in store. You can buy online here.

So, as you might have seen in my last post here. I hauled some Bourjois products in Boots. They are currently doing 3 for 2 and I took full advantage πŸ™‚

bourjois haul

I love the Bourjois brand overall, but some products for me can be hit or miss. However, their Rouge Edition Velvet matte liquid lipsticks are probably one of my ride or die matte lip formulas. And for some reason, I have never done a proper review of them. Since I bought two shades last week (as well as a new mascara), I thought I would show you the colours as well as the formula in action. And, give you my first impressions of their new Volume Reveal mascara in waterproof. I have seen alot of good things about this mascara online so I thought I would add my thoughts into the mix.

red lip

The two shades of the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets I picked up are:

08 Grand Cru which I thought was more of a deep matte red off the bat. It comes off as a brighter red on the lips though.

bourjois rouge velvet edition

I will say although both of these dry down to a matte finish, the formula itself doesn’t dry down completely unless you wait for every layer to dry completely. I do love the texture and the finish of them though. They last well and fade leaving a stain behind. The colour range is great too. The Rouge Edition Velvets retail for €12.99. You can get them in store or online from Boots here.

My other purchase was of course the Volume Reveal Waterproof Mascara.

bourjois volume reveal

It comes with a x3 zoom mirror on the side of the tube. Not sure if I would get much use of it. But you never know πŸ™‚

bourjois mascara

It has a quite a large plastic spooley.

The formula itself is thick and dries very quickly. You can layer it but you have to work fast. It definitely does give plenty of volume to the lashes though.

Not as much curl as I would usually like, but it is more of a voluminous formula. And it’s fair to say it does what it says on the tin πŸ™‚

The Volume reveal comes in non waterproof and waterproof and retails for €13.99 again in Boots in store or online here.

And that’s my 3 for 2 Bourjois haul done! Let me know if you like this type of show and tell. I would love your feedback πŸ™‚
