We’re talking mauve lip combos today! I reckon I could write a thesis on mauve lip products. It’s probably my most worn shade, at the minute at least.

I have tonnes of different of ones in my makeup collection and as with anything, I tend to dip in an out of different ones. At the moment, my most worn mauve lip is a combination of two products.

Now let’s be real. Two products are not really necessary, I know. And I like both of these products equally on their own. I just find combining the lip liner with the liquid lipstick, I get a crisper lip line, my top lip definitely needs a bit of help in the plumpness department which I find easier to do with a pencil. Also layering both of them gives the colour more staying power!

My mauve lip liner love is Mac Cosmetics ‘Soar’.

I am way late to the ‘Soar’ party, but I am very glad I finally got there. I am a huge fan of Mac Lip Liners, and this colour is just the perfect mauve shade. Not the cheapest at €17.50 a pop, but the formula is lovely, they don’t drag on the lips, the pencil sharpens to a really good point if you like to overdraw and they are really pigmented.

Mac ‘Soar’ is available from Brown Thomas here. The liners come in an abundance of shades though.

My second mauve lip love is from Paese Cosmetics. I haven’t tried much from the brand as of yet. It’s been Ireland a few years now though. I was sent some of their lip products a while back and literally fell head over heels in love with the Silky Matt Liquid Lipstick in 707.

This is such a lovely, richly pigmented product. Although it does dry down matte, it dies down to more of a velvet finish on the lips. Moves around a little more but it doesn’t crack or ball up.

Paese Silky Matt 707

This is much more of a comfortable formula than what we’ve come accustomed to in a matte liquid lip. They remind me of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams with more colour density and more longevity on the lips. And of course the shade, for me, is the perfect mauve tone. You can buy Paese from their Irish website here. The Silky Matt lipsticks retail for €13. They also have a kiosk in the Ilac Centre here in Dublin. Matte liquid lippies always photograph with the flash more shiny, but I promise this has a velvet finish (you can see it in more true to finish and colour here without the flash:

NYX Cosmetics has officially come to Boots here in Ireland! Makeup fans rejoice! 🙂 This weekend I ended up at two of the new stands, I know, dedication or what? I went to the one in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre first and then the one in the Jervis Street Shopping Centre. The two were pretty awesome and pretty overwhelming aswell. There is alot of products to choose from which is brilliant. So, in true beauty blogger style, I thought I would show you the products I got, up close and swatched.

Nyx Cosmetics Haul

I know NYX Cosmetics has been on our shores for a good few years now. And before that we could buy online, but we have never seen the extent of their products that Boots has to offer here in store ever. To my humble knowledge anyway.
Onto the interesting stuff, the haul 🙂

I picked up three more shades of their Soft Matte Lip Creams. I bloody love these. I know not everyone loves the formula as it can be a bit patchy, but you can build up the colour. I think they’re great, easy to apply, smell like sweets and pack a punch colourwise without being too intense. If you’re a bit apprehensive about wearing a bright lip the NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Creams are a good place to start. They come in an abundance of colours and are €7.75 from Boots in store or online here

The three shades I picked up are:

‘Stockholm’

‘San Paulo’

‘Ibiza’

Stockholm could be my new favourite nude lippie 🙂

Next up, I got three of their single eyeshadows. I’ve never tried any of these before, so I was excited to see them on the stand with testers too!

I got two of the Hot Singles and then one Prismatic Shadows.

I got three complimenting shades that I could wear together.

How cute is the bow enclosure? 🙂

The Hot Single eyeshadows are €5 from Boots here and come in an array of colours and finishes.

‘LOL’

‘Heat’

And the Prismatic Shadow ‘Golden Peach’. These all have a metallic finish. They are €7 from the Boots website here.

I got one of their High Definition Blushes to try. These are in Boots in store and online here for €7.75.

And then finally, the last product is their Vivid Brights Liquid Liner in the colour ‘Envy’. I’ve actually worn this a few times already and they last really well, although as you can see the colour isn’t as bright as the packaging would lead you to believe.

So there you have it, my NYX Cosmetics Makeup Haul! I’m pretty happy with all the products I picked up.

But let’s be honest, I need more!! Let me know what you’re favourite Nyx products are. Fuel the makeup fire 🙂

So as all of us beauty lovers know, Bioderma recently made their way onto Irish shores. Bioderma were really the pioneers of micellar water, and also do lots of other lovely skincare products.

For Christmas, they’ve released a pouch containing 4 products.

I happened to see this while I was scrolling through twitter (I’m @beautynookie over there, shameless plug :). Then I saw the lovely Jen from Matte To Metallic chatting about getting one over on Snapchat. She had gotten it in McCabes Pharmacy in the Pavillion in Swords, so I high tailed it over to the Northside and grabbed me one too 🙂

If you have been wanting to try the Bioderma range (or you know someone who has), this is really a great buy.

In the Christmas Pouch you get:

A 15m of their Atoderm Crème.

This is a fragrance free and paraben free moisturiser for dry to very dry skin.

You get a 100ml of the Bioderma Atoderm Gentle Shower Gel.

This is a soap free gel for sensitive skin. So really great for any of us.

There’s also a full 40ml of the Anti Redness BB Cream.

This on it’s own costs €16. It’s made for Sensitive Skin that’s prone to Rosacea. I’ve yet to use this yet, so I hope it works on my oily skin and the anti redness would be great for any blemishes. It also contains SPF 30 which is brilliant.

This is in the shade Light. When you first apply it, it looks really dark on the skin, but it blends in really well.

The last product in the pouch is of course the Bioderma cult classic.

bioderma micellar water

You get a 100ml of their Micellar Water. This is hypo allergenic, so great for sensitive skin. I love using Micellar Water on cotton pads to remove the bulk of my makeup before full on cleansing. This means you are doing a double cleanse and are sure to be squeaky clean 🙂  Cannot wait to give this a go. Everyone has such good things to say about it.

I am going to sunny Lanzarote for Christmas this year, so I bought this to bring with me.

The Bioderma Christmas Pouch will cost you €17.50, and is a great way to try some of the products without committing fully.

Have you tried any Bioderma? Let me know what you would recommend?
