top blog irelandI am back again with another beauty shopping lust list!! I can’t help myself, when the new products come rolling out, there’s always a few that take my extra fancy 🙂

irish beauty blog beautynook

Now unfortunately my ‘beauty budget’ doesn’t stretch really far, so I have to be selective on what I pick up. But I find curating a list of the new releases and explaining why I want them helps me to make a decision. And sure it might help you too! My last one was here if you fancy checking that out and I picked up a good few items from that.

First on my list is the new Urban Decay Born To Run Palette.irish beauty site

If you’ve been around these parts before you know I’m a huge UD fan. Not to say that everything they release I want, but this collection is very pretty. The palette and the eyeliners in particular are on my radar.urban decay ireland

I love the concept of the packaging. All of the photos are holiday snaps from various Urban Decay employees. It’s meant to be the perfect palette to take with you on your travels. You can create a nude look and have options of pops of colour too. It just looks really my speed.

Next up is completely because of the colour. Beauty Blender have just released a sapphire blue blender!irish beauty blog

I’ve been toying with getting an original Beauty Blender again for ages. I use to buy them all the time when they first came out. But, obviously they’re pricey and the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is awesome and under half the price. I’d really like to compare them myself though.

My next beauty lust is a whole collection!

This lusting is completely based on aesthetics. It’s the Lancôme X Proenza Schouler collaboration. I saw this and shared it on Instagram weeks ago now and just haven’t been able to get it out of my mind.

This palette in particular looks right up my street!

Would be a complete beauty treat, but I’ll defo be going in to BT for an oul swatch asap 🙂

If you know me, you know I’m a huge fan of the Pixi Glow Tonic, I did a post on it yonks ago here and I’m constantly replenishing it in my skincare stash. Well now they’ve only gone and released the Pixi Retinol Tonic.

Pixi Retinol Tonic

Retinol as we know, helps the production of new skin cells. It’s basically vitamin A in topical form. It can help with fine lines, discolouration and even acne scars depending on the dosage.

My last beauty lusting is from a brand that is a tad controversial at the moment. But I have been waiting for this to launch forever, so I had to add it in. It’s the Kat Von D Lash Liner.

top irish beauty blogbeauty blog ireland

It’s such a cool, unique concept. A liquid liner for your waterline!! I know I’m a bit of a beauty geek, but this blows my mind and I think I just have to try it. I’ve read mixed reviews online, so I’m super curious to see if it actually lasts, or if it bleeds or makes loads of black gunk in the corners of your eyes 🙂

Oh, I’ll stop the beauty lusting there. Have you your eye on anything in-particular?

I’ve always had a bit of an obsession with blue eyeliner, but as of late, it has gotten a bit out of control 🙂 I am perfectly OK with my obsession. It is a bit of fun, and adds a bit of interest to a simple makeup look.

top irish beauty bloggerThe 80’s called and said, ‘Well done you’re doing a better job with it than we did!’ 🙂

Aqua or turquoise tend to be my blue eyeliner shades of choice, but I do dabble in other hues.

My most recent favourite and probably the one that gets the most questions, is the Inglot AMC Gel Liner in 70.

Blue Eyeliner

This is more of a matte sky blue.

Inglot gel liners are some of the best I’ve ever used. They last so well and come in a plethora of colours. I use this mostly in my waterline for a fun pop of colour. But a slick of it on the top lash line and lashings of mascara, looks awesome too!

TOP TIP: If your gel liner is starting to dry out, use something like Inglot Duraline. (Review here). Or Paese Drop & Fix to bring it back to life.

The shade that sparked my turquoise obsession was the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil in ‘Electric’. beauty blog irelandThis is just the perfect vivid turquoise shade with a bit of sparkle I have ‘Gonzo’ too which is similar, but matte.

The Urban Decay Pencils are super creamy and last really well. A lot of more affordable brands do their own awesome version of this shade.

I have two here from Essence and Note Cosmetics that I love aswell.

I use this shade the same as I would the sky blue. On the top lash line and in the waterline. I love to smudge it out on the lower lash line too, even with some matching shadow on top to intensify it.

Now I can’t talk about blue eyeliner and not throw navy into the mix. It’s such a great alternative to black or brown.

I did have a liquid one, but I seem to have misplaced it (duh). I love a navy winged line, I think it looks great on all eye colours. It adds a hint of something different without being over the top dramatic. It works beautifully in the water line, and on the lower lash line too though. These ones are from Barry M and another one of the Essence Longlasting Eye Pencils.

I would like to thank my lovely blogging pal Sinéad from The Beautiful Truth for inspiring this post. She has been killing the blue liner at the mo. And the lovely Yav aka Makeup Monster. I had put a pic of all of the blue in my collection up on my Instagram a little while ago. It was her that told me I need to write a post. Thanks gals 🙂

The only question left to ask is….would you rock blue eyeliner?

My lovely best friend Sue gave me a voucher for Inglot Cosmetics for my birthday. She knows me well 🙂

inglot cosmetics haul

So, I headed to the South Anne Street store and picked up some new eye goodies to add to my collection.

inglot cosmetics

I ended up leaving with four eyeshadows and two AMC Gel Eyeliners. Honestly, their gel eyeliners are some of the best I have ever used, ever! There was no real rhyme or reason to the eyeshadow colours I picked if I am honest. I just tried to go with shades that I don’t already have in my collection. They don’t really go together at all. But they are super pretty none the less. They’ve set up home with the rest of my Inglot Cosmetics shadows in one of my very grubby Z Palettes.

All of their eyeshadows are linked here, if you want to see them on the Inglot website.

First up is number 366. It’s a matte raspberry shade.

My second new shade is 296. This is a matte red with a hint of pink to it.

407 is a orange toned shimmering golden shade. I am imagining this will look super pretty as a ‘pop’ shade in the middle of the lid. I’m excited to play with it.

419 is my last Inglot Cosmetics eyeshadow purchase. It’s a super pretty shimmery, nearly metallic olive green.

I picked up two of their gel eyeliners.

Number 70 is a matte baby blue shade. I got this up because I actually have a Maybelline kohl pencil in the same shade. You can see it swatched here. I use it all of the time in my water liner and love it. I thought I would treat myself to a more long wearing version.

The second one is number 96. A mid toned brown with flecks of golden shimmer running through it.

The AMC Gel Eyeliners cost €15 a piece and come in a multitude of colours. You can find them on the Inglot Cosmetics website here.

And, there you have my haul. Thanks Sue for the pressie 🙂

I am sure you are no stranger to the L’Oréal Color Riche Lipstick. The brand are constantly bringing out different versions of them. I only spoke about the Gold Obsession collection here at the end of last year. I recieved some of the L’Oréal Color Riche Matte Addiction Lipsticks and I thought I give you an overview.

L'Oréal Color Riche Matte Addiction Lipstick

I am definitely more of a matte lipstick wearer. I do dabble in a glossy finish from time to time. Generally though, a more matte finish is my thing. I do believe some of the shades (upon googling) have been out in different formats before, but the L’Oréal Color Riche Matte Addiction formula is being called their ‘boldest, most moisturising matte lipsticks.’

I have three of the colours from the collection here, but Boots and Superdrug, among other places, have an abundance of shades to choose from.

L'Oréal lipstick

The packaging is what you would expect from the Color Riche range with a matte black finish.

irish beauty blog

The scent is typical of L’Oréal lippies. It reminds me of my Cabbage Patch Doll. D’ya remember what they smelled like? It is quite strong and sweet. I myself find it kind of nostalgic, but I am sure it could be off putting for other people.

Onto the swatching 🙂

640 ‘Erotique’. The brown nude shade of the three:

347 ‘Haute Rouge’. A blue toned matte cherry red:

463 ‘Plum Tuxedo’. A pink with purple tones, definitely not plum. It’s also less opaque than the other two shades I have:

The L’Oréal Color Riche Matte Addiction Lipsticks are super soft and pigmented. They have a matte velvet finish, but don’t dry down completely on the lips. This means you will get residue, but it also means they don’t crack or feel super uncomfortable either. Because the formula is so soft, I do recommend using a lip brush to apply the bolder colours and it is harder to get a strong line straight from the bullet. They last reasonably well on the lips and the deeper colours do leave behind a stain. Overall, I am a big fan of the formula.

The L’Oréal Color Riche Matte Addiction Lipstick seem to vary in price online. Boots have them on 3 for 2 at the moment here. They are priced at €10.49 each.

Do any of the shades tickle your fancy?

‘Guess who’s back, back again?’ Well you know from the title really. It’s favourites time. Yay! It’s time for me to round up my March Favourites and give you an insight into why they have been floating my boat for the last few weeks.

top beauty blog ireland

Be honest with me, do you actually like monthly favourite posts? I, myself love reading what people have been loving. I would like to think we use and love the products for more than just the month in question. It’s really weird that you definitely gravitate towards different things though for spurts of time. Especially months that we are transitioning into different seasons, so you tend use different products.

irish beauty youtuber

My March favourites consist of as always mostly beauty (I am a beauty blogger first and foremost of course :))

Obviously I go into more details in the video above, so you can just click on it or go directly to my YouTube channel here.

I filmed this after a few funny days personally. It was also a few funny days in ‘blogging world’ too. So I ramble a bit and am a bit scatterbrained, I hope you don’t mind 🙂

The products I mention are:

  • Rayban Clubmasters. John bought me these a few years ago now from Asos here. I always buy from Asos in pounds, it tends to work out cheaper.
  • Jo Malone Basil & Neroli Cologne. I have a full review on this here.
  • & Other Stories Fleur De Mimosa Body Lotion. I got it in store here in Dublin but they sell online here too.
  • Vita Liberata Body Blur. Beauty Bay seems to have this for the cheapest I can find online here.
  • H&M Colour Essence Pencil in Raw Umber. They are on the H&M website here. I got mine in store.
  • Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Cream Eyeshadows. I have a full review of the two I own here.
  • Mac All That Glitters single eyeshadow. I got this from Brown Thomas in store. You can buy online here.

I saw the Clarins 4 Colour All In One Pen online last year and I have been so excited for it to launch. Not going to lie, I was kind of stalking it online.

Clarins 4 Colour All In One Pen

It is such a nifty idea. I attended the launch of the Clarins Spring/Summer collection a couple of weeks back. They have some gorgeous releases that are hitting shops at the moment.

And, I was super lucky to leave with a gorgeous goodie bag including the Clarins 4 Colour All In One Pen.

top irish beauty site

It looks exactly like the Bic pens we all had at school with the multiple colours. It comes with four shades, 3 eye liners and one nude lip liner. You click down the shade you want to use on the top and then twist the pen in the middle to release the product.

Within the stylo, you get a matte black:

A matte blue eye liner:

And then finally a tan nude lip liner shade:

For me, the lip liner is a lovely creamy consistency, but the colour doesn’t really suit my complexion. It’s a bit too warm. The three eye liners overall are easy to use, soft and opaque. I probably have the hardest time building up the blue shade consistency wise, but you do get there with it. The colours are all really wearable.

irish beauty blogger

They are not waterproof, but do last really well on the upper lash line. I’ve worn all three eye liners and none of them transferred or moved on me.

I think the Clarins 4 Colour All One Pen really is a novel idea, and I think the products inside are fairly decent too. You definitely have to get used to the width of the pen and the pencils themselves. I don’t think they would work great for detailed work. But to have all of the colours in one place and literally a click a way is genius! It will make a great travel companion 🙂

It is limited edition and only available in select countries. So, if you like what you see, try get your hands on it asap. I’ve seen it in a few local chemists myself already. I have found a link to in online from Arnotts here. It is retailing in Ireland for €36.

Are you intrigued by it?
