I saw the Clarins 4 Colour All In One Pen online last year and I have been so excited for it to launch. Not going to lie, I was kind of stalking it online.

Clarins 4 Colour All In One Pen

It is such a nifty idea. I attended the launch of the Clarins Spring/Summer collection a couple of weeks back. They have some gorgeous releases that are hitting shops at the moment.

And, I was super lucky to leave with a gorgeous goodie bag including the Clarins 4 Colour All In One Pen.

It looks exactly like the Bic pens we all had at school with the multiple colours. It comes with four shades, 3 eye liners and one nude lip liner. You click down the shade you want to use on the top and then twist the pen in the middle to release the product.

Within the stylo, you get a matte black:

A matte brown shade:

A matte blue eye liner:

And then finally a tan nude lip liner shade:

For me, the lip liner is a lovely creamy consistency, but the colour doesn’t really suit my complexion. It’s a bit too warm. The three eye liners overall are easy to use, soft and opaque. I probably have the hardest time building up the blue shade consistency wise, but you do get there with it. The colours are all really wearable.

They are not waterproof, but do last really well on the upper lash line. I’ve worn all three eye liners and none of them transferred or moved on me.

I think the Clarins 4 Colour All One Pen really is a novel idea, and I think the products inside are fairly decent too. You definitely have to get used to the width of the pen and the pencils themselves. I don’t think they would work great for detailed work. But to have all of the colours in one place and literally a click a way is genius! It will make a great travel companion 🙂

It is limited edition and only available in select countries. So, if you like what you see, try get your hands on it asap. I’ve seen it in a few local chemists myself already. I have found a link to in online from Arnotts here. It is retailing in Ireland for €36.

Are you intrigued by it?

Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Crayons

I was in Boots last week swatching lip products like a good thing and I ended up getting a couple of the new Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Crayons. These are (as I am sure you can see) twist up lip colours…and they are matte!

On first swatch in store, I thought oh these are really soft and pigmented and also not really drying and I can concur after playing with them and wearing them that they are like this in ‘real life’ too.

I chose two shades.

The first one is number 4, original I know 🙂

This is literally my favourite shade of pink to wear. Think of Mac’s Girl About Town but a little more muted and matte.

Number 4

Matte Me Up Number 4

I know I know my skin is different colours, I fake tanned my body not my face ha I probably should have slapped some makeup on to swatch…sure not to worry, you get the idea :p

This out of the two colours of the Barry M Matte Me Up’s I got is my favourite. It is a gorgeous blue toned pink. It goes on the lips really smoothly and lasts really well too.

The second shade I got is…number 1

Matte Me up Number 1This is a true peach shade.

swatch number 1

barry m matte me up lip crayon 1This is a more unforgiving shade on the lips, they need to be in tip top condition to pull it off. I also think it would be more suited to someone with sallow skin, it is still a gorgeous shade though.

The Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Crayons are gorgeous in my book. They are easy to apply, really buttery, comfortable on the lips and last very well too. I’m very happy I bought them and will be open to buying more the future I’m sure 🙂

At this minute in time the Matte Me Up Lip Crayons are on special for €4.99 in Boots They will normally retail for €7.49 so if you like what you see, get them while they’re hot!
