Guess what’s back, back again? You got that right, it’s favourites time 🙂 This time we’re delving into my August favourites for 2018. Can you believe we’ve gotten this far? As I’m writing this, the sun is belting in on me, so it’s not time to complain about the weather….yet!

August favourites

My August favourites, are a pretty mixed, but logical bag, I think. I cover everything from body care, skincare, haircare, makeup, with even a hint of fashion.

August Favourites

I ramble a lot as always, so I apologise in advance. But sure if you’ve been around these parts before, you know I don’t really think things out. I just go with the flow and hope for the best. Literally how I live my life everyday 🙂

My other fashion fave is my new Nike Air Force 1s bought from the kids department from JD Sports.

Dove Nourishing Care Shower Oil. It’s still on special in Boots.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Body Gel.

Cien Dry Shampoo is from Aldi.

My last two August Favourites are makeup related.

I can’t find a link as of yet for the Essence Prime + Studio Mattifying + Pore Minimizing Primer with black clay. That is definitely a mouthful. This Autumn\Winter Collection was meant to be in store from the end of August though.

My last favourite I have a whole blogpost and video on here. This is just one of the shades that I’ve been particularly gravitating towards from the new theBalm Balk Jour Creamy Lip Stains.

And that is it for my August Favourites! Let me know what you think, and as always thanks for tuning in 🙂

top blog irelandI am back again with another beauty shopping lust list!! I can’t help myself, when the new products come rolling out, there’s always a few that take my extra fancy 🙂

irish beauty blog beautynook

Now unfortunately my ‘beauty budget’ doesn’t stretch really far, so I have to be selective on what I pick up. But I find curating a list of the new releases and explaining why I want them helps me to make a decision. And sure it might help you too! My last one was here if you fancy checking that out and I picked up a good few items from that.

First on my list is the new Urban Decay Born To Run Palette.irish beauty site

If you’ve been around these parts before you know I’m a huge UD fan. Not to say that everything they release I want, but this collection is very pretty. The palette and the eyeliners in particular are on my radar.urban decay ireland

I love the concept of the packaging. All of the photos are holiday snaps from various Urban Decay employees. It’s meant to be the perfect palette to take with you on your travels. You can create a nude look and have options of pops of colour too. It just looks really my speed.

Next up is completely because of the colour. Beauty Blender have just released a sapphire blue blender!irish beauty blog

I’ve been toying with getting an original Beauty Blender again for ages. I use to buy them all the time when they first came out. But, obviously they’re pricey and the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is awesome and under half the price. I’d really like to compare them myself though.

My next beauty lust is a whole collection!

top beauty blog ireland

This lusting is completely based on aesthetics. It’s the Lancôme X Proenza Schouler collaboration. I saw this and shared it on Instagram weeks ago now and just haven’t been able to get it out of my mind.

This palette in particular looks right up my street!

Would be a complete beauty treat, but I’ll defo be going in to BT for an oul swatch asap 🙂

If you know me, you know I’m a huge fan of the Pixi Glow Tonic, I did a post on it yonks ago here and I’m constantly replenishing it in my skincare stash. Well now they’ve only gone and released the Pixi Retinol Tonic.

Pixi Retinol Tonic

Retinol as we know, helps the production of new skin cells. It’s basically vitamin A in topical form. It can help with fine lines, discolouration and even acne scars depending on the dosage.

My last beauty lusting is from a brand that is a tad controversial at the moment. But I have been waiting for this to launch forever, so I had to add it in. It’s the Kat Von D Lash Liner.

top irish beauty blogbeauty blog ireland

It’s such a cool, unique concept. A liquid liner for your waterline!! I know I’m a bit of a beauty geek, but this blows my mind and I think I just have to try it. I’ve read mixed reviews online, so I’m super curious to see if it actually lasts, or if it bleeds or makes loads of black gunk in the corners of your eyes 🙂

Oh, I’ll stop the beauty lusting there. Have you your eye on anything in-particular?

I’m a teeny bit late with my June Favourites, apologies. I reckon this heat is making us all a bit loopy and unproductive though, right? 🙂

June was my birthday month, and although life is a bit of a rollercoaster at the minute being by mam’s side while she’s so ill. (Fuck Cancer!), every awesome person around me made my birthday bloody awesome. I got treated to afternoon tea by my bestie, had a BBQ in my honour in the gorgeous sun and was just generally a spoiled brat.June Favourites Beauty

There wasn’t many stand out June Favourites for this year. But I managed to sit down and think of a few. One skincare, of course makeup and even an oul fashion fave that I got for my birthday.

June Favourites 2018

Yep, I am talking about the giant sunglasses upon my face :). They’re from Quay and I got them on ASOS.top irish beauty blogger

I am on my second tube of the Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser, so I definitely thought that was worth chatting about a little bit.beauty blog irelandbeauty blogger ireland

I have a post with chats and swatches about the Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette here if you want to see the colours in action.top irish beauty blog

The Clarins Summer Bronzer is something I’ve already harped on about before here too. I haven’t used another bronzer since getting it though, so it really had to be in my June Favourites.top irish beauty site

Then finally my go to lip combo for the past two weeks which I demonstrated on Instagram here.

This is the Flormar Waterproof lipliner in 201.  With Laura Geller’s Color Lustre Lipgloss Gilded Honey over top.t

And that is my June Favourites tied up in a blogpost and video bow 🙂irish beauty blogger

Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder GelèeDid I need the Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelèe in my life? Hell to the no. This was a complete lust product. You might remember I did a post here a while back about my beauty shopping lust list. This was on it along with a few gorge other things.irish beauty blog

Every Summer,  the Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess collection is released again. Usually reimagined somewhat, but still familiar if you’ve been keeping an eye on it throughout the years.

Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelèe

I’ve always lusted after the Illuminating Powder Gelée. The packaging alone had me hooked visually. I’ve tried to get my hands on it a few times, but it sells out super quickly. So I’ve been actually checking up on it regularly this year. Yes I am a makeup addict through and through ha. The release coincided with my 33rd birthday this year, so I was able to ask John to get it for me as a bday treat. Score!estee lauder bronze goddess

Off the bat the Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelèe for 2018, visually is just gorgeous. For €49, it would kind of want to be. It’s not as weighty as I anticipated, it is a plastic compact, but I can live with that.irish beauty blogger

I feel like this year’s representation is definitely more golden and glittery than other years. The pigment and shine pay off are really lovely though. The sparkle is just something to note. In case you’re curious the shade name is 01 Heat Wave. There is only one to choose from.

beauty blog ireland

You can see there is a lighter shade within the darker more bronzed highlight shade. It nearly looks like a pretty sunburst within the pan.

esteé Lauder Bronze Goddess Ireland

Esteé Lauder call this an ‘all over bronzer’. I can’t get on board with that at all. I bought it knowing it’s a highlight and it definitely is a highlighter!

beauty blogger ireland

Unfortunately probably a highlighter that’s too dark for pale ol’ me. But by god, I will make it work 🙂

I am so glad to have gotten my hands on the Esteè Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelèe for this year. It’s not the most practical purchase, but it will be something that I will hang on to forever as it’s limited edition.irish beauty sitetop beauty blogger irelandtop irish beauty site

I bought mine from Debenhams here, although it is out of stock as I write this post. Have you picked up any of them over the years? What’s your thoughts?

top irish blogThe Clarins Summer Collection for this year has been something I’ve been waiting with baited breath for. That sounds a bit dramatic I know, but there was one product in particular that I struck up a fancy with.

clarins summer collection

The theme is Sun kissed, hot Florida vibes. The packaging is adorned with flamingoes and palm trees to get us into the Summer mood 🙂

irish beauty blogger

I have a cross section of all the products, except for two.top irish beauty blog

There is a limited edition bronzing version of their SOS Primer.clarins summer collection 2018

There is two shades to help warm up all complexions. They retail for €31.00.

There’s also limited edition shades of their Lip Comfort Oils.  This one is in Blackberry.irish beauty blog

These retail for €21.00.

The 4 Colour All In One Pen is back again! I have a post on the one from last Summer here.top beauty blog ireland

This time around, the packaging much brighter to keep within the Miami vibes, as are the pencils themselves.top beauty blogger irelandclarins ireland

It comes with three eyeliners. A matte black, plum and bright turquoise green. As well as a bright pink lip liner too. I’ve definitely been getting the most use out of the green and pink, they go really well together. The pen retails for €36.00.top beauty blogtop beauty blogger

Next up in the Clarins Summer Collection run through is limited edition emerald green Supra Mascara.top irish beauty bloggerbeauty blog ireland

I have to be honest opening this I was in awe, but trying to utilise it was another kettle of fish. For me personally it doesn’t add much colour to the lashes if any. beauty blogger irelandI’ll keep trying with it though as I know people think highly of the Supra Mascara formula. This retails for €26.00.

The last product is my very favourite from the Clarins Summer Collection.clarins summer 2018

This is the limited edition Blush & Bronze Compact for 2018.irish beauty sitetop irish beauty site

I have to be honest it was the cool flamingo and palm tree motif and packaging that made me lust after this initially. But, it’s actually a really nice natural bronzer to boot.clarins bronzerdublin beauty blog

It has three matte shades within going from a matte bronze to a deeper tone. I tend to just swirl them altogether and apply them to the high points of my face and neck. Clarins say it contains skincare so can help protect the skin from pollutants too. This compact retails for €47.00.

All products are available from Clarins stockists now. Any of them tickle your Summer fancy?

As I am writing this, the sun is shining and it’s May. Which means it’s officially Spring, which means no constant rain and being miserable…just some of the time :). A new month also means a look back over the previous month. So, here is a run down of some of my April Favourites for 2018.

april favourites

How was your April? Mine wasn’t too bad all in all. I had some good times and made some good memories.

april favourites

My April Favourites consist of mostly skincare actually with a snippet of makeup, fashion and dare I say some political views as well. Definitely not something I talk about a lot. If I do it’s mostly on Twitter. I don’t shy away, don’t get me wrong, there’s just people out there doing a way better job at it than I ever could. But I think May, for me, for us as woman of Ireland is so very important. Please make sure you are registered to vote, do your research and make an informed decision.

Ok, let’s talk about some silly stuff now 🙂

My April Favourites definitely reflect the changes in the seasons, I think. As always I talk much more in depth in the video above or here. But I’ll give you a quick run down and link to everything I can.
