I received a very cute package in the post this week from Benefit Cosmetics.

Benefit Cosmetics Hoola

Seriously, they do the cutest packaging in the business! The Hoola family has expanded and there is also a new box highlighter in the mix too. I thought I would give a closer look at them, and of course swatch all the products here too.

Benefit Cosmetics Ireland

I am a big fan of the original Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer

It’s just a really good, build-able matte bronzer. You can find it on the Debenhams website here. At €34, it is pricey, but they do last a really long time.

They’ve now released a new version, Hoola Lite.

benefit hoola liteΒ As the name would suggest, it’s Hoola, but lighter πŸ™‚ It is matte and slightly cool toned. Definitely more suited to paler skin tones.

It is in the same box format, containing 8 grams of products. You can find it on Cloud 10 Beauty here.

The second new product being welcomed into the Benefit Cosmetics Hoola family is their Quickie Contour Stick.

top irish beauty bloggerThis is a cream stick version of Hoola.

Benefit contour stickΒ It’s super creamy and easy to blend. I think I would personally use this for warming up the face or for layering colour to help with longevity.

You can buy it online from the Debenhams website here.

The last newbie on the scene is Dandelion Twinkle Highlighting Powder.Β Benefit DandelionΒ Packaged the same as any of the boxed products. You get 3 grams of product within.

benefit highlighterΒ Benefit describe it as as, ‘delicate strobing powder’. It is a really soft light pink shade with a silvered sparkle running through it. It gives a very subtle highlight to the skin.

Dandelion Twinkle is available from for €34 from the Debenhams website here.

I know so many wonderful bloggers have done their version of beauty favourites already so apologies if you’ve been inundated. I think it’s a really great idea though and I haven’t done monthly faves this year, so I thought I would do a yearly round of my beauty favourites 2015!

First up is an easy one. I know the Urban Decay Gwen Palette came out late in the year, but it has become one of my most reached for eyeshadow palettes.

urban decay gwen stefani paletteurban decay irelandI am completely head over heels for it. There is neutrals galore, transitional shades, fun sparkly shades and even a couple of cray cray shades to keep things interesting. Gwen, I bow down to you and can’t wait to see the new releases you and Urban Decay have up your sleeves for 2016 πŸ™‚ Full swatches of the palette can be seen here and I even did a makeup look with it here if you fancy a nose.

Next up is the very coveted Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop.

becca champagne popNo joke I have used this pretty much everyday since I got it. When I first got my grubby little mitts on this in mid 2015 it was only available in America. Now the lovely people of Spacenk are stocking it here, so everyone can bask in the Champagne Glow. Another one of my 2015 finds was the brush I use to apply the Pop πŸ™‚

irish beauty blogThis awesome F28 brush from Blank Canvas Cosmetics. The lovely Ashling from Total Makeup Addict introduced me to this beauty and I will forever be in her debt for it. It’s the perfect cheek bone highlighting tool.

My favourite setting powder of 2015 would have to be the Chanel Vitalumiere Powder Foundation.

beauty favouritesI have pretty much used this exclusively for the past year.

chanel vitalumiere powder foundationI have a whole review if here. It’s a foundation so there is coverage with it, which I personally like. You can build it up or thin it out depending on application or what brush you use so it’s really versatile. Pricey but versatile πŸ™‚

My next beauty faves are a little more pocket friendly.

irishbeautyblogAgain I have a review of these here, but they are two of the All About palettes from Essence. Essence have a few different colour choices in these really handy eyeshadow palettes and they cost less than a fiver, bargain! Oh and they’re damn pigmented too!

2015 was definitely the year of budget friendly favourite for me. Another one is the Catrice Glamour Doll Waterproof mascara.

irish makeup and beauty blogirish makeup and beauty bloggerFor the latter half of the year this is the only mascara I was (and still am now) using. And what do you know, I have a full review of it here πŸ™‚

My favourite under eye concealer duo have been the Catrice Liquid Camouflage and the Flormar Perfect Coverage.

best of beauty beautynookflormar concealerCheap as chips and together for me are a dynamic duo. You can see them in action here.

My favourite blush of the year has to be the Max Factor Creme Blush in ‘Seductive Pink’.

max factor creme puffmax factor seductive pinkirishbeautyblogThis is just the easiest blush colour to wear. It goes with everything. I love the formula of these too. They blend so nicely. You can see it swatched here if you fancy a nose πŸ™‚

My lip liner find of 2015 probably has to be Whirl by Mac.

mac whirl lip pencilmakeup and beauty blogThis lip liner got a life of it’s own in 2015. It’s a great all round colour though that you can use on it’s own, under nudes and even under darker and brighter shades of lippie. It’s great for evening out the lip line too. I have it swatched here if you want a closer look.

The Only Lipsticks from Rimmel are another makeup find of 2015 that I am very happy with.

irish beauty blogirish beauty bloggerThey came at the end of the year I know, but I’ve been obsessed with them so I had to include them. These two lighter shades have been the ones I grab for most but I own six of them and I wear all the shades alot. I love the finish, the pigmentation and the price point. (yep, I have them all swatched here πŸ™‚

I have two facial skin care faves for 2015 that I wanted to add in aswell.

Serozinc from La Roche Posay.

la roche posay serozincI think I’ve gone through about 4 of these so far and I will repurchase! There’s a full review of it here, but I use Serozinc as a toner, to freshen up my makeup and as a finishing spray when I am finished my makeup. It’s a great all rounder.

My last fave is from the Oils Of Life range from The Body Shop.

the body shop oils of lifeirishbbloggerThis is their Intensely Revitalising Gel Cream. I use this as a night cream. I have oily skin, so heavy creams can sometimes clog my pores. This stuff feels so light on my skin and soaks in really quickly but still leaves behind nice soft hydrated skin. May I add it smells incredible too!

That’s my Beauty Favourites for 2015 done and dusted. Seriously, where did that year go?

Should I do below the neck beauty favourites too, as in more body orientated stuff ha. Let me know.

This is a really random post, but I just wanted to spread the word in case you haven’t seen them yet. Glamour are giving away Clinique goodies with their December issue. You can get a mascara, a moisturiser or one of two lip colour choices.

I wouldn’t be one to usually buy into this stuff, but I have been eyeing up the Clinique Pop Lip Colours on the Brown Thomas website and was actually going to pick a couple of them up. You lovely ladies of Snapchat let me know they were giving mini samples away with Glamour though and I raced out and bought two copies as there is two shades up for grabs πŸ™‚

I am so happy I did. The lipsticks themselves are a really good size, they won’t be running out after a couple of uses. The packaging itself is the same as the normal Pop lips just in a smaller size too which I really appreciate…it’s the little things πŸ™‚

The two shades you can pick up with the magazine are ‘Nude Pop’.

Clinique Nude PopThis is a really lovely pink nude, with a little shimmer running through it.

irish beauty blogclinique nude pop swatchAnd there is also ‘Cherry Pop’.

Clinique Cherry PopThis is my favourite one out of the two. It is a pinky cherry red colour.

irish beauty bloggerclinique cherry pop swatch The formula of these Pop Lip Colours is really gorgeous too. They’re like a colour intense lip balm and are so comfortable on the lips. When the shine dies down, you are left with a nice stain which I really like.

Even if you don’t read the magazine, it’s worth picking up for these little gems. Here in Ireland Glamour will set you back just under €3.50. Considering the Pop Lip Colours are €19.50 a pop (see what I did there), ’tis not a bad deal!

Lush treated us bloggers and the press to an up close look at what they have in store (literally ha) for Winter and Christmas 2015. As a big Lush fan, I was very excited to see so many new and well known products back for the festive season. They have gift sets galore to suit any tastes and budget, and of course most of the products can be bought individually too.

We were very kindly gifted the fabulous Lush Winter Wonderland Gift Set, and so I wanted to show you what is inside, in case it’s something you would want on your Christmas list.

Lush Winter Wonderland 2015There are some old faves and some newbies up for grabs in this pretty huge gift box.

lush bath bomb Snow Angel Bath Melt is in there. It contains cocoa butter and leaves your bath glittery.

beauty bloggerWe have Yog Nog Bath Bomb. This is a cinder toffee soak with spicy clove and ylang ylang.

beauty blogThe Ceridwen’s Cauldron Bath Melt looks really interesting. This plops into the bath as is and melts. It has sandalwood oil, oats and wildflower inside.

beauty blogger irelandThe Candy Mountain Bubble Bar has sparkles and fair trade vanilla to bubble up your bath with.

irish makeup and beauty blogThe Peeping Santa Bubble Bar looks funny right? This has shea butter and strawberry inside, so great for us with a sweet tooth.

irishbeautyblogThe Yoga Bath Bomb is great for relaxing with. It contains olibanum and ho wood.

irish beauty blogYou can reuse this cutie. This is The Magic Of Christmas Bubble Bar. It has clove and almond in it. You can just sweep it across the water a few times and then put it somewhere safe to use again.

lush christmas 2015I get a Holly Golightly Bubble Bar every year from Lush. I think it just screams Christmas, and it smells like it too πŸ™‚

irish blogOf course the Lush Winter Wonderland has a Frozen Bath Bomb this year. It contains grapefruit and Tunisian Neroli. Yum yum.

beauty blog beautynookThis is the Stardust Bath Bomb. It has vanilla and Rosewood in it.

irish beauty blog beautynookCinders is a lush classic. It smells like cinnamon.

top beauty blogI saw this Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb (mouthful)Β  in action when we were in Lush. It dissolves into the bath just how it looks in the bomb it’s really cool. It also contains lavender so good for a before bed time bath.

top irish beauty blogMy Father Christmas Bath Bomb got a bit bashed by its friends inside the box. He will turn your bath green though and smells like candy floss.

lifestyle blogI think bubble bars are where you get the most bang for your buck in Lush. You can just break pieces off and get as many uses out of them as you want. This is the Bar Humbug Bubble Bar. It contains Liquorice, not my favourite scent, but if you love DollyMix this one is for you πŸ™‚

irish beauty bloggerThe Lord of Misrule Bath bomb makes your bath wine coloured, so you could drink wine while you were having your bath and you wouldn’t even noticed if you spilled!

Lush Christmas 2015 (6)makeup and beauty blogMy So White Bath Bomb didn’t make it in one piece, but at least it means I can show you what it looks like inside. It contains bergamot and rose…yummy!

irish bbloggerGolden Wonder is my all time favourite bath bomb from Lush. It has lime oil in it, so it smells really zesty and when it melts away it leaves little stars in your bath!

irish beauty bloggerThe Butterbear Bath Bomb is great for dry skin, it has cocoa butter in it like the Snow Angel…I might actually use these together for an extra hydrating bath time!

bbloggerThe Comforter Bubble Bar is probably my favourite out of all the Lush bubble bars and is one I purchase all the time. It’s really sweet but not in a sickly way. It contains cassis and cypress oil.

beauty blog irelandThe Twilight Bath Bomb is the last on the list. As you would assume by the name and the look of this bath bomb, this is another good bath time bomb. It contains lavender and tonka and according to Lush makes your bath look like the night sky…we’ll see about that πŸ™‚

The Lush Winter Wonderland will cost you €117.50, it is one of the priciest gift sets instore. I think if you are wanting to buy a hardcore Lush fan (or yourself) a really special gift this is pretty perfect though.

Any of your Lush faves in here? Any you fancy trying? Let me know πŸ™‚

Yep they’ve finally gone and done it! Cocoa Brown have released an instant tan! They’ve answered our tanning prayers πŸ™‚

Cocoa Brown Marissa Carter

Us bloggers got all dolled up and headed to The Shelbourne this past Sunday where we were treated to a lovely and pink afternoon by Marissa and the Cocoa Brown girls. We were showered with gifts and the new Cocoa Brown Instant Tan Bronzing Gels were unleashed on us.

Marissa has created two different Instant Tan Bronzing Gels. One is matte.

Cocoa Brown Instan Tan Bronzing Gel Matte

And the other has shimmer running through it.

Cocoa Brown Instant Tan Bronze Gel Shimmer

Here’s the matte one Bronzing Gel on my hand.

irish beauty blog

And here you can see the matte and the shimmer bronzing gel side by side.

irish beauty blog beautynook

They both differ in consistency slightly, the matte one is more of a fluid gel, where as the one with the shimmer is, well more of a gel texture πŸ™‚

Both of the Cocoa Brown Instant Tan Bronzing Gel’s apply to the skin super easy, there’s not much faffing about and they dry really quickly too. You can apply as many layers of them as you need to build up the colour you want without the product going patchy as they are a thin gel and blend really well.Β  Added bonus they smell really nice too πŸ™‚

Obviously, I’ve only had these babies since Sunday so I haven’t given them a full road test yet, but first impressions are really good.

I applied them on both my legs to give you a better look at the finish you are left with. I applied with my hands, but of course you can use a mitt if you want too. (Cocoa Brown have just brought out a double sided one fyi πŸ™‚

Here’s my pasty leg with nothing on it.

beauty blog

I applied a couple of coats of the matte instant tan.

Then it’s time for the shimmer instant tan. Again, my other pasty leg :p

irish makeup blog

Then a couple of coats of the shimmer tan.

The shimmer is hard to pick up on my camera, but there’s alot of shimmer going on, I promise.

irish beauty blog

It really is tanning in an instant, and the product is splash proof, thank god with unpredictable weather like ours πŸ™‚

I for one am so happy about these releases. I hold my hands up and admit I am such a lazy tanner, it’s one of my least favourite things to do, so I love a good instant tan, it just takes the effort out of it really. Also if you’re pale like me and your developing tan doesn’t always develop enough, it’s handy to have something like this in your beauty drawer for back up.

Cocoa Brown Instant Tan Bronzing Gel should be hitting the shelves in Penneys stores near you very soon or you can order from Cloud10beautyΒ  here. Β They will both be €6.99 for 150ml tube.

Will you be picking one or both of them up? Let me know what you think.

Last night I was lucky enough to go to the preview of H&M’s Autumn and Winter Collection.

The stock is in store from tomorrow the 10th of September so you don’t have long to wait, thank god πŸ™‚

H&M is one of my favourite stores to shop in, and the Autumn/Winter collection this year does not disappoint. There is pieces for every budget and all styles, shapes and sizes. There is some fab key pieces for your wardrobe too, that will take you through the entirety of the colder months…yep winter is a-coming’ time to get your woollens out of hibernation πŸ™

The lovelies from Stellar Magazine were there greeting everyone coming into H&M College Green and the gorgeous gazelle Vogue Williams was on the decks pumping out the tunes.

I snapped some pictures last night of what I thought would be wardrobe staples and thought I would put them together in a little blogpost, so you could get a jist of what will be in your local H&M store. Some of the pieces are even in store already.

There was lots of lovely accessories in store, but the shoes and boots particularly stood out to me. H&M wouldn’t be a place I buy alot of my shoes in, but I think I’ve been converted πŸ™‚

And this cute bow top.

I think it would work great with this faux leather skirt.

I was very restrained and only picked up one thing.

h&m sweaterThis little sweater was only €14.99. I love the colour and of course the slogan is really cute too right?

I just wanted to add one more thing in because this item was getting more attention, than probably anything else in the store.

h&m rocket bagThis is a handbag from the kids collection ha!!

The H&M kids selection would have you feeling totally jealous I have to admit. The items are amazing. Well worth a look if you are kitting out your little one.
