It’s been a while since I sat down and did one of these videos. I think this was the last one! My eyebrows have come a loooonggggg way since then πŸ™‚ This time I asked on Instagram if any of you had any questions. Thank god you did! So if you want to get to know me a little better, click on the video above.

Would ya look at me posing, pretending I’m reading the lovely questions. I definitely am not, I was just trying to get a thumbnail. Also something you might not know about SEO, it loves pictures, so here’s another one πŸ™‚

I don’t give my whole life away online. I don’t think there’s any real need and also, I’m not a hugely interesting person. But I think it’s important to get to know me a little. Instastories is where you see a lot of it, but it’s nice to shake it up every now and again.

I was really digging this super easy makeup look too, so I wanted to show that off a bit as well. And for anyone wondering, cause I would be too! My awesome Ms Piggy jumper is from Zara. I got it while we were in Spain, but I know it was here in store too for a minute. Obsessed is not the word, although it isn’t the best quality.

In this get to know me q&a. I speak about blogging, kids, beauty and a few things in between. So grab a cuppa and a biscuit and have a click. I’d love to know what you think too. Do you really care about the people you follow online? Or do you just want to hear about makeup and that’s it?

Please do let me know. And as always, thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate it.

I definitely didn’t do any favourites for the month of September. I was too busy sunning myself on holiday and completely forgot. So we’ll scrap that month and just go into October favourites here on Beautynook. Hope you don’t mind πŸ™‚

top irish beauty blog beautynook

My October faves are all beauty related and 100% reflect the changing of the seasons. They are definitely skincare heavy with a touch of hair care and makeup talk thrown in for good measure.

irish beauty blog beautynook

As always, here on Beautynook, I’ll list all the products and link what I can. Just in case anything takes your fancy and you want to explore it more. I use my favourites to just have a casual chat about what I’ve been enjoying. I don’t go too deep into reviewing. Sure it’s just a bit of fun πŸ™‚

First up is the Alfaparf Semi Di Lino Diamond Crystalli Liquidi. That I definitely wasn’t able to pronounce in the video. I referred to it as hair oil. It is lovely though.

I’ve been testing out more than just two products from the Alex Steinherr X Primark range. But these are the two that have been standing out for me and I’ve been using religiously since picking up.

I have been obsessed with the Ella & Jo 3 in 1 Hyaluronic Skin Mist since getting it too. The ladies behind the brand are going from strength to strength and sure jaysis, aren’t they Irish? πŸ™‚ It’s such a lovely product.

I picked up the Palmer’s Coconut Body Oil completely on a whim. I wanted something extra hydrating and it was on special. What more can a girl ask for? I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it too.

Lastly, I chat about the JCat Extreme Access Pocket Eyeshadow in Walk Of Stardom. This little €9.95 beauty caught me completely off guard and I totally need the whole collection now.

Three scary words I know. Glitter winged liner. Don’t worry. They’re scary to me too. I’m no professional πŸ™‚

glitter winged liner tutorial

Winged liner for me, does not come easy. I really have to work hard for that flick. I overthink it and my left eye just doesn’t like to be bullied into doing anything it doesn’t want to do. My little trick, that I 100% did not invent does help ALOT though. I did it here on camera for the first time yonks ago and always resort to it when I want a feline flick. That video is from two years ago. I like to feel like I have come on leaps and bounds personally and makeup-ly since then πŸ™‚

glitter winged liner tutorial

When I’m feeling a bit bleh, makeup really helps me get out of my head. So the other day I started playing with liner. I created a glitter liner look and got so many questions on it. Perfect for me, it meant I could do it in video form and hopefully some of you lovely people would watch.

irish beauty blogger

This time around I got fancier and added a glitter winged liner and a bold lip to boot. I reckon this look would be great for now and as we creep into the festive season. Yep we’re nearly there. Meer weeks to go!

And yes, I am obviously am quite proud of this makeup, considering how narcissistic this blogpost is with just photos of my face. I am sometimes happy with my work πŸ™‚ The star of this show is the glitter, of course. It’s the infamous Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in ‘Midnight Cowboy’. This had been on my lust list for ages. Finally, I gave in and picked it up. There is so many more affordable alternatives out there though, so don’t be deterred.

The lippie is the darkest shade from the BourjoisΒ Rouge Velvets that I own. They are a bloody gorgeous formula. And that’s pretty much it! Everything else is in the video above or you can click here. Let me know what you think πŸ™‚

I am going back to old school YouTube roots a bit. Totally for a bit of fun and totally to show you my new bargain of a handbag from River Island.

What's In My Handbag

I had been eyeing up this bag for a minute. They had posted a pic of it on Instagram and it looked so up my street.River Island Handbag

I am crossbody bag kinda gal. I am an absolute brat when it comes to carrying things. Think of a five year old bringing their toys with them and then halfway through the journey deciding they don’t want to hold them anymore. That is me in a nutshell πŸ™‚ I was previously using this backpack from Zara. It didn’t last very long though and I find I was just filling it with crap. I have a couple of Rebecca Minkoff cross-bodies and have been using them day to day, but I really needed something of decent quality that I could bash around a bit.beauty blog ireland

This bag is suede and leather and it originally retailed for €75/Β£55. If you buy from the likes of ASOS or River Island online, always buy in pounds. The conversion is so much better. I was holding off until it came into the shops, but kept checking up on it online. Does anyone else do that with things they really like? πŸ™‚top irish beauty blogtop irish beauty blogger

I randomly checked on it one day and it was on sale for Β£25!! So I thought screw seeing it in real life first. With shipping, it cost me €31!! I thought that was a really bloody good deal for a leather bag. It’s still on sale on the River Island website here. (Update: It has just become out of stock, but they have loads of fab bags still on sale here) . Remember to buy in pounds πŸ™‚irish beauty vlogger

Overall, I am super happy with the bag. The quality is really decent and there’s no big RI logos anywhere on the outside of it. I am not a huge fan of that. It’s a little bigger than I thought it was, but for a day time bag, I am completely ok with that. The thick strap I love, although it isn’t as long as I would like and it isn’t adjustable. I definitely wouldn’t be able to wear this crossbody over a big coat. Not ideal, but I’ll probably just wear it inside my jacket as it gets colder, or on one shoulder.beauty blogger irelandtop beauty blog irelandtop beauty blogger irelandirish beauty youtuber

In the video I give you a quick run through of what’s in my handbag. For fun, and just so you can see what it can actually hold. There is only one big compartment within it. It has a little zip enclosure for your purse/phone. And then a couple of little pockets. If you like your stuff compartmentalised within your bag, this isn’t for you πŸ™‚Irish beauty bloggerIrish beauty blog

I know loads of you bought it. (Thanks loads for using my affiliate link). I’d love to know what you think and if you’re happy with your purchasing decision like me:)

As per usual, I just thought of a concept for this video and then when into it and hoped for the best πŸ™‚ This my affordable everyday makeup tutorial. It’s definitely more just me doing my makeup with affordable and easy to get hold of products here in Ireland. I call it a tutorial, just because it’s good for when people are searching for things online. A makeup enthusiast is what I am, not a professional πŸ™‚

affordable everyday makeup tutorial

I kept things really simple for this affordable everyday makeup. The eyeshadow on the lid is the star of the show and then everything else just falls around it.Β  This pretty much just me wanting to look more awake and alive. How did I do? πŸ™‚

I am completely jumping on the bandwagon I know, but it has pretty much been love at first sight ever since I got my hands on the BPerfect X Stacey Marie Carnival Palette. The colours are ridiculously fun, with pops of wearability. If it had a matte base shade, it would be close to a perfect palette for me. The colours are super pigmented and blend really well. Can you tell I love it? Ok, enough gushing. I created this super easy and (I think), wearable colourful eye makeup using it, and posted it on my Instagram.

Wearable Colourful Eye Makeup Tutorial

I got some lovely comments, (thank you). So, thought I would recreate it in video form on my YouTube channel.Β Β My approach to colour is very much in the real world. I am not a makeup artist, nor am I a super talented Instagram makeup gal. I’m just a 33 year old who loves to play with makeup, but still be able to pop up to the shop for a pint of milk in it πŸ™‚

irish beauty blogger

And I hope this comes across here. There is such thing as a wearable colourful eye makeup look. To me, it just has to be approached simply with some added liner and more everyday tones to ground the pop shade a bit. I’ve been having so much fun playing around with the BPerfect Carnival Palette. Whether it be full on colour like this, or just slicks of brightness along the lash line.

BPerfect Carnival Palette

The shade ‘Mint’ in-particular calls to me, so that’s the star of the show in this look, but of course you can use whatever shade you like.

I touch on a few of the other products I used in this wearable colourful eye makeup tutorial. But, I wanted to focus on the shadows being the star of the show.top irish beauty blog

Let me know what you think. And if you have the palette, I’d love to know your thoughts on it πŸ™‚
