The new limited edition Sleek Whimsical Wonderland Collection contains three colours of their new gel blushes, three new limited edition complimenting shades of their VIP lipsticks and what I am showing you in this post, the ‘All The Fun Of The Fair’ eyeshadow palette.

Sleek Whimsical Wonderland CollectionI do love a Sleek eyeshadow palette so I was excited when I saw one left on the shelf in Boots while I was doing my new in makeup beauty rounds πŸ™‚

Sleek All The Fun Of The Fair PaletteLike all Sleek iDivine Eyeshadow Palettes, the shadows are packaged in a thin, matte plastic case with as always a large handy mirror in the lid.

The name ‘Whimisical Wonderland Collection’,I think is most fitting to the ‘All The Fun At The Fair’ Palette. To me, the other products are quite normal and wearable everyday colours, whereas the palette is a pretty assortment of matte and shimmery pastel shades.

Sleek Makeup

So onto the swatching πŸ™‚

As with all of the Sleek palettes, you get a plastic sheet over the top of the shadows telling you their names, which are all very cute and fitting to the ‘All The Fun At The Fair’ theme.

Sleek Makeup Ireland

Here they all are swatched from left to right:

On first swatch, I can tell that the shimmers definitely pack more of a punch than the mattes do. Unfortunately, this is the case for alot of palettes, especially when it comes to brighter matte colours. Overall, the shades feel really nice, none of them are powdery or hard to work with. I think there’s some good wearable shades in the All The Fun Of The Fair palette for the lid, the crease and transitioning, aswell as some interesting shades that will be fun to play around with maybe with a white base to help them pop a little more.

You can pick up the whole Sleek Whimsical Wonderland Collection from Boots in store as well on the Sleek website. Cloud10beauty have the whole collection here too if you want to have a closer look at the other products included. The All The Fun Of The Fair Palette will set you back €10.45 on Cloud10beauty.

They are all scented with the Tahitian gardenia scent which is now synonymous with Cocoa Brown with a hint of peach in there too. Cocoa Brown actually say the fragrance used in the products is so minimal that they didn’t technically even have to list the ingredients used on the tube, but they did which is nice. The Kind Range is derived from natural sources and contains coconut oil and fruit sugars. They are paraben, alcohol and formaldehyde free. Marissa herself suffers with dermatitis on her scalp so wanted to create and shampoo and conditioner that works for sensitive scalp and skin conditions. They’re also kind to coloured hair and extensions. An added bonus too, the products are ph neutral, so they won’t get interfere with your fake tanning!

The Cocoa Brown Kind Range Travel Set also contains their new Face & Body Self Tanning Wipes.

I was lucky enough to have lunch with Cocoa Brown yesterday to hear about (and of course receive) the new products. Marissa said upon talking to buyers of Cocoa Brown, there was a market for tanning wipes. So, she decided she wanted to release her own and do them right!

The wipes are said ‘to be an easy way to maintain your Cocoa Brown tan on the go’.

top irish beauty blogMarissa also made the point that when your travelling, the wipes won’t take up any of the liquid allowance in your luggage.

I will of course be giving all the products a go, so keep an eye on my social media to see how I get on. πŸ™‚

So there you have it, the newest Cocoa Brown Kind Range in travel form. What do you think?

I was doing my usual weekly rummage through the Boots aisle last week, yep I go there weekly to see what’s new πŸ™‚ I can obviously see the products online, but it’s nice to see them in the flesh too. I came across these new Rimmel Magnif’Eyes while on my weekly visit and they were on 3 for 2 so I had to pick some up to show and tell here on Beautynook πŸ™‚

irish beauty blog

I would have picked up more shades of the Rimmel Magnif’Eyes but the Boots I was in literally only had three shades that hadn’t been open and messed up. I think there’s 5 shades in the collection to choose from.

In the words of Rimmel: ‘Rimmel London Magnif’Eyes Double-Ended Shadow and Liner. The ultimate tool for defining your eyes. Ultra long-lasting, waterproof, crease proof, transfer proof formula will stay put all day.Create endless combinations in 2 easy, mistake-proof steps with our highly pigmented double ended stay true shadow and kohl kajal liner; from matte to shimmer to pearly finishes.’

So they are basically a double ended pencil. One one end you get a cream shadow, that’s the domed shaped pencil.

Rimmel Magnif'Eyes

Then, on the other end there is a kohl kajal, which is the pointy pencil.

rimmel ireland

Each pencil comes with a different colour cream shadow and kajal that compliment eachother.

Here are the three shades I have up close and swatched.

001 Back To Black.

004 Dark Side Of The Blue.

top irish beauty bloggertop irish beauty blogtop beauty blogrimmel Magnif'Eyes Swatches

On first swatch the Rimmel Magnif’Eyes are bloody lovely! They’re creamy and pigmented. The fact that they are deemed waterproof, I’m wondering if the kajals would be good for inside the waterline, I will definitely be trying that out, the blue one is calling my name πŸ™‚

I can’t say if they are transfer proof or creaseless as of yet, they have yet to make it on my eyes. But I did swatch them on my arm together. Here’s a shot of them in natural light.

top irish beauty blogAnd then I try to wipe them away quite vigorously with some tissue paper. This is what I was left with.

irish beauty blogThey didn’t move too much at all. I ended up having to use an oil based eye makeup remover to get rid of them!

The retractable pencils are really soft so as you use them they will wear down, making me think think the obvious thought, the kajal liner won’t be as precise as that happens. I think on the cream eyeshadow end the wearing will be ok as you could probably be using it on a larger surface area….

They are available in store now or you can pick them up on the Boots website here. They cost 9.99 but are on 3 for 2 at the minute in Boots if any of them take your fancy πŸ™‚

What do you think? Will you be picking any of the shades up? I would love to know your thoughts.

Essence Cosmetics have hit the nail on the head with their launches for this Spring/Summer.

essence cosmetics irelandThey have touched on so many of the makeup trends happening at the minute, and done their own spin on them. And as we know, with Essence Cosmetics, that means for a fraction of the price.

This blog post is just showing you what Essence Cosmetics has to offer for Spring and Summer of this year. I didn’t swatch any of the products which I would normally do and you’ll see why at the end πŸ™‚

The Essence Longlasting Eye Pencil is a little bargain of a find. I picked these up randomly in Penneys when I was really just looking for new things to try.

irish beauty blog essence longlasting lip pencil

I picked up three shades in the Essence Longlasting Eye Pencil range but they have a fair few colours to choose from, even a nude one now which is handy. You can see all the colours here on the Essence website. Like their lipliners I reviewed here on Beautynook not too long ago. I am sure I will end up with all the colours in my collection at some stage πŸ™‚

The shades I have are:

The Essence Longlasting Eye Pencils are a retractable pencil in a plastic casing which I personally prefer over the standard pencil format. The product itself is really soft, so glides on smoothly onto the skin. The colour pay off (as you can see from the swatches) is pretty great too! The formula does dry so you get good longevity out of it, even on the waterline, although they do last longer on the skin.

I honestly think these are a fab find for makeup novices and addicts alike. If you are looking to experiment with colour, these are a great way to begin too. And the best part? Like the lip liners, the Essence Longlasting Eye Pencil will set you back just under 2 euro! Not a bad deal at all, right? As I said, I got mine in Penneys, but I am sure any of the chemists who stock Essence would have these if they update their stands regularly. If you see them, give them a swatch and let me know what you think πŸ™‚

As always, thanks for stopping by!
