I went and bought 3 of the new Rimmel ‘The Only One Lipstick (s)’ (they were on 3 for 2 in Boots) and THEN I went and bought 3 more, cos I really liked them…and they were on 3 for 2 π
Rimmel are always bringing out new shades of lipstick, but to have a whole new formula is not a regular thing. The title of them is pretty strong statement, right? Saying they are pretty much the only lipsticks we will need in our lives.
The formula of the Rimmel The Only One Lipsticks for me is amazing. They are opaque, smooth and really comfortable on the lips. They go on quite glossy, but do die down to a more satin finish. They also last really well, and leave behind a tint to the lips when the lipstick wears away which I really like.
If I was to change anything about the lipstick, it would be the shape of them. As they are a creamy formula, I would much prefer a bullet shape as it would give you a sharper application.
They smell very strongly of the familiar Rimmel lippie fragrance, so that’s something to be wary off if you’re not a fan of the smell. It does disappearΒ when they’re on your lips a minute though.
Onto the lippies. I have six of the shades. There is 15 colours to choose from on boots.ie although I only saw eight of them in store.
810 ‘One Of A Kind’ is a dark red shade.
120 ‘You’re All Mine’ is a light bubblegum pink.
610 ‘Cheeky Coral’ is you guessed it a coral shade π
200 ‘It’s A Keeper’ is a mauve nude.
700 ‘Naughty Nude’ is a pinky nude tone.
And finally 510 ‘Best Of The Best’ is a true red colour.
Overall, I am a big fan of the Rimmel The Only One Lipsticks.
They cost β¬8.99 but if you’re liking what you see, go to Boots asap and get them on 3 for 2, you’re getting one for free like, it’s a no brainer π

Lush treated us bloggers and the press to an up close look at what they have in store (literally ha) for Winter and Christmas 2015. As a big Lush fan, I was very excited to see so many new and well known products back for the festive season. They have gift sets galore to suit any tastes and budget, and of course most of the products can be bought individually too.
We were very kindly gifted the fabulous Lush Winter Wonderland Gift Set, and so I wanted to show you what is inside, in case it’s something you would want on your Christmas list.
There are some old faves and some newbies up for grabs in this pretty huge gift box.
Snow Angel Bath Melt is in there. It contains cocoa butter and leaves your bath glittery.
We have Yog Nog Bath Bomb. This is a cinder toffee soak with spicy clove and ylang ylang.
The Ceridwen’s Cauldron Bath Melt looks really interesting. This plops into the bath as is and melts. It has sandalwood oil, oats and wildflower inside.
The Candy Mountain Bubble Bar has sparkles and fair trade vanilla to bubble up your bath with.
The Peeping Santa Bubble Bar looks funny right? This has shea butter and strawberry inside, so great for us with a sweet tooth.
The Yoga Bath Bomb is great for relaxing with. It contains olibanum and ho wood.
You can reuse this cutie. This is The Magic Of Christmas Bubble Bar. It has clove and almond in it. You can just sweep it across the water a few times and then put it somewhere safe to use again.
I get a Holly Golightly Bubble Bar every year from Lush. I think it just screams Christmas, and it smells like it too π
Of course the Lush Winter Wonderland has a Frozen Bath Bomb this year. It contains grapefruit and Tunisian Neroli. Yum yum.
This is the Stardust Bath Bomb. It has vanilla and Rosewood in it.
Cinders is a lush classic. It smells like cinnamon.
I saw this Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb (mouthful)Β in action when we were in Lush. It dissolves into the bath just how it looks in the bomb it’s really cool. It also contains lavender so good for a before bed time bath.
My Father Christmas Bath Bomb got a bit bashed by its friends inside the box. He will turn your bath green though and smells like candy floss.
I think bubble bars are where you get the most bang for your buck in Lush. You can just break pieces off and get as many uses out of them as you want. This is the Bar Humbug Bubble Bar. It contains Liquorice, not my favourite scent, but if you love DollyMix this one is for you π
The Lord of Misrule Bath bomb makes your bath wine coloured, so you could drink wine while you were having your bath and you wouldn’t even noticed if you spilled!
My So White Bath Bomb didn’t make it in one piece, but at least it means I can show you what it looks like inside. It contains bergamot and rose…yummy!
Golden Wonder is my all time favourite bath bomb from Lush. It has lime oil in it, so it smells really zesty and when it melts away it leaves little stars in your bath!
The Butterbear Bath Bomb is great for dry skin, it has cocoa butter in it like the Snow Angel…I might actually use these together for an extra hydrating bath time!
The Comforter Bubble Bar is probably my favourite out of all the Lush bubble bars and is one I purchase all the time. It’s really sweet but not in a sickly way. It contains cassis and cypress oil.
The Twilight Bath Bomb is the last on the list. As you would assume by the name and the look of this bath bomb, this is another good bath time bomb. It contains lavender and tonka and according to Lush makes your bath look like the night sky…we’ll see about that π
The Lush Winter Wonderland will cost you β¬117.50, it is one of the priciest gift sets instore. I think if you are wanting to buy a hardcore Lush fan (or yourself) a really special gift this is pretty perfect though.
Any of your Lush faves in here? Any you fancy trying? Let me know π
The Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette has finally hit our shores! Hallelujah!
Makeup lovers across the country have been waiting with baited breath to add to our Naked Palette collections, and now finally we can. I swear Urban Decay has one of the best marketing teams on the planet π
Of course, you clicked on this blogpost to see the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette in all of it’s glory, so I’ll stop harping on and get to it!
I think this Naked has the nicest packaging out of them all yet. It’s plastic with a magnetic closing and a fancy smoky design of course π
Here she is, fresh off the press with the flash on my camera on.
And here she is sans flash, just so you can get a realistic idea of the colours.
There is 12 colours in the Naked Smoky Palette, with nine brand new shades and three exclusives from previous palettes.
As you can see it’s very cool toned with alot of colours you would expect from a palette called ‘Smoky’.
So from left to right, we have:
‘High’ a pink toned shimmer
‘Dirtysweet’Β a bronzey gold
‘Radar’ a warmer toned shimmery brown
‘Armor’ a purple toned shimmery grey
‘Slanted’ a blue toned shimmery grey
‘Dagger’ a shimmery grey
‘Black Market’ a black with a slight shimmer
These are all pictured below:
Then we have:
‘Smolder’ a deep shimmery purple
‘Password’ a matte purple toned brown
‘Whiskey’ a matte cool toned dark brown
‘Combust’ a matte pink toned nude
‘Thirteen’ a matte cream
All pictured below:
Here is the whole Urban Decay Smoky Palette pictured together.
With this palette you also get a dual ended eyeshadow brush.
On one end, there’s a fluffy blending brush and then on the other is a pencil brush. I think this is my favourite brush out of all the Naked Palettes.
So there you have it. An up close look at the new Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette. I picked this up in Debenhams and it was β¬46. You can get it on the website here.
What do you think? At first look and swatch I’m really digging it, just have to see now how it wears and blends on the eyes. As a makeup addict I am glad to have all the Naked gang to hand though, I must admit…not something I’m proud of but hey ho π
I am on a bit of shopping go slow since I have two holidays lined up for this year. But the summer is nearly at an end already, can you believe it? So I had to make a pitt stop into Penneys, I wouldn’t be Irish if I didn’t would I really? And I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t grab a little bit of makeup while I was having a nosey.
It’s nothing too crazy, but thought I would share in case you are in the market for some affordable bits π
First up, I got the other two Penneys PS Love lip liners that I don’t own. I have the brow shade 06 already and d’ya know what? They’re bloody good! And for β¬1.50 they’re even better!!
05 is the red and 07 is the pink
Here they are swatched on my hand.
From the Penneys range, I also got one of their Matte Lipstick Crayon’s to try aswell. This was β¬2.50.
It’s in the shade 03, which is pretty much a blue toned hot pink.
I also grabbed two things from the Catrice stand, I think I was very restrained, things could have gone alot worse for my bank balance π
First up is their new (I think) Deluxe Trio Eyeshadow in 030 Rose Vintouch.
It has three baked shades for creating a purple smoky eye.
Here they are swatched from left to right.
I got one of their illuminating blushes in 030 ‘Kiss Me Ken’ too. I was eyeing up these blushes online the other day.
This one is pink but with a darker pink gradient on the top and bottom which I thought looked interesting. It has a gold sparkle running through it too.
Here it is swatched on the back of my hand.
I also picked up lots of clothes bits and pieces which I snapped about over the weekend, so if you want to see more about them, come say hello over there. My user-name is Beautynook.
I will show you these shoes though. These are from the Penneys limited edition range, and they are the cutest pair of heels I own!!
There you have it, a closer inspection of my Penneys and Catrice bits and bobs. I think I was pretty good what do you think?
As always thanks for reading, really appreciate it π
Can you believe Christmas is over? 2015 has come so quickly. I hope you all had a fantastic break and the start of your new year is going well.
Christmas was very good to me and I wanted to share with you some of the goodies we were lucky enough to receive as gifts. I love seeing what people got so we hope you don’t mind us getting in on the fun π
The boyfriend did good this year (as he does every year).
First up I got this rose gold faced Accurist watch.
I have wanted one of these for ages, ever since I saw Youtube’s Lily Pebbles rocking one, so I was very happy to open this on Christmas morning.
He also got my the coveted Hourglass Ambient Blush Palette.
How beautiful is this? It is so pretty and pretty extravagant looking. The colours are very wearable and have a lovely glow to them. I love owning this palette π
I of course had to get the Soap & Glory Next Big Thing set. I get this every year and love it. It contains all of the Soap & Glory items you will ever need for shower time.
He got me the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Palette, which was an absolute bargain, considering how expensive Benefit boxed blushes are.
It contains 5 of their cult blushes as well as Hoola, a sample of Watts Up and a little brush. I love Benefit blushes so this is a very welcome addition to my makeup collection.
A new hair dryer was amongst the gifts on Christmas morning.
I didn’t think I needed this, but it has 2100w and is so much stronger than the one I already have. I have a whole lot of hair so this will not go to waste.
Diptyque’s Mimosa Candle is on my Christmas and Birthday list every year, it’s my favourite scent, so I was very happy to receive a nice new one. Yum yum yum π
Another gift I got from him was all from his own findings. A couple of years ago he surprised me with the Anna Sui Minnie Mouse Lipstick and Eye set, which I love so much I can’t bring myself to use it and I think this is going to end up the same way.
How pretty is the packaging? The lipstick inside doesn’t disappoint either.
We always do a present on Christmas Eve because we are children and cannot wait to exchange gifts, so this year my Christmas Eve pressie was the Charlotte Tilbury Mini Lipstick Charms.
These are such a cute gift for any makeup lover, as well as being lovely pigmented lipsticks.
Kris Kindle goes down in the boyfriends house at Christmas time. We make a list and then the person who gets you can pick what they want from the list up to β¬100. This year mr father in law (to be) got me and it did very well. He made the money go very far. A couple of the stand out things were.
The Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette.
The shades Brokedown, Sonic and Alchemy make me squeal with delight π Can’t wait to get properly stuck into this.
He also got me an Alex and Ani bangle.
This is the Path of Life charmed bangle, which I think is quite fitting for me at the minute. These are a really lovely and reasonably priced gift with a lovely sentiment.
The Mammy got me a couple of lovely goodies as she always does including these cute pj’s from Marks & Spencer. I can’t wear these enough, they are so cozy.
And the Lush Merry Christmas Gift.
Is it bad that these are all nearly gone already?
I was such a lucky girl this year. My brother kindly gave me a very generous gift card for Brown Thomas and so I went in over the Christmas break and bought a couple of extra presents. #brat I know π
I picked up Charlotte Tilbury’s eyelash curler.
Adore that this is rose gold, it’s so pretty. I’m not too fond of it unfortunately though, I much prefer my Shu Uemura π
The other thing I bought is one of my new favourite things for sure though. I think it deserves it’s own blogpost, so stay tuned for that.
So there you have it a dip into some of the wonderful gifts I was given for Christmas. It was a fantastic one surrounded by friends and family and too much chocolate…the diet starts now I swear π
Happy New Year, hope 2015 is an amazing one for you!
So tell me, what did you get for Christmas? Go on tell, I love to have a nose.

Over the past couple of weeks I have picked up a few affordable makeup bits in between Christmas shopping for friends and family. I got some really nice goodies so I thought I would share them with you in case you need some shopping inspiration π
First up I went to Boots, one of my favourite places to be. The waft of perfume as you walk through the door just puts me in a good mood.
I picked up Rimmel’s Lasting Finish Nude foundation.
This is a new version of their normal Lasting Finish which is a firm fave here at Chatterbox. This is a lighter version of it. It has a good medium coverage and an SPF of 20 which is great for an everyday foundation.
So far I have been loving this, it’s not cakey, the 100 Ivory shade is a good match for my pale skin and it has been lasting really well on my also oily skin. So far a good buy. This set me back β¬8.99 in Boots
I got one of Maybelline’s new Color Tattoo Leather Effect Cream shadows to give a go next.
This is in the colour “Vintage Plum 97”.
I have so many of the Color Tattoos and love most of them. This one is nice, I really like the colour, it makes a great base for plum, brown or purple eye looks. It is matte with no shimmer in it at all. I cannot say it really looks like leather though.
The Color Tattoos are β¬7.49 in Boots.
Another cream shadow creeped its way into my Boots basket…ooops π
This is the Max Factor Excess Shimmer in “25 Bronze”. I am in love with this, let me tell you that from the getgo.
Oh my god the pigment is amazing, a tiny bit of this goes such a long way. The texture is so cool, it’s soft and nearly whipped to the touch unlike the Color Tattoos. It is so easy to blend also.
I can wear this just on its own without a shadow on top. I love the colour too, it’s bronze but with a coppery feel, right up my street.Β These cost β¬9.99 from Boots
Last thing I picked up in Boots was the Maybelline Instant Anti-Age, The Eraser Eye in “Nude”.
This is a sponge applicator under eye concealer for cancelling out under eye circles.
I’m on the fence about this product so far, I think I need to keep using it before I give a true opinion. It costs β¬11.99
Soooo, then I did some damage over on Cloud 10 Beauty They had 20% off their whole site for black Friday, I could not resist!! I firstly picked up the cult product that is The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer.
So many of you told me I needed this over on social media, so thanks π It is such a pretty gold toned highlighter. It is ridiculously shimmery but there is not lumpy sparkle in it which I think is what makes it so pretty and wearable.
You don’t have to look like a disco ball to get a highlighted effect. You can pick this up from Cloud 10 for β¬19.00
This is the E30 eyebrow brush. I wanted an angled eyebrow brush with a spooly on the end and this fit the bill, also the ends are purple how cute π This cost me β¬6.95
I got one of the Sleek Eye and Cheek Palette in “See You At Midnight 028”.
I have only gotten my hands on this today so I have yet to try it out properly, but on first look and swatch I really like it.
It is very winter appropriate. Plums, purple, cranberry and gold galore. There is two blush shades “Antique” in the top left corner and “Pomegranate” in the bottom right and then 4 eyeshadows from The Vintage Romance iDivine palette. Can’t wait to get stuck into it π I think this is the best deal out of everything at β¬12.95
I got another Sleek product from Cloud 10 Beauty.
Another Eau La La Liner to add to my collection. This is the shade “Cocoa 327”. Nothing much to say about it, it’s a matte chocolate brown eyeliner.
I love these liners, I have them in so many colours, but not in dark brown so I picked one up. This will set you back β¬5.99
I also got a couple of other random things so I thought I would throw them into the list too for good measure.
I got this when IΒ was buying the other bits on Cloud 10.
This is the Daniel Galvin Junior Hangover Hair. My hair needs a bit of TLC and this was cheap and organic so I thought I would give it a go, no real thought process there. I will report back if it is any good. It is β¬4.49
Lastly, these are definitely not beauty based, but they are beautiful π
These are New Look heels that I ordered from Asos when they were having 20% off for black Friday. I just thought they were so festive and sparkly and also the heel is thick and respectable not a look I go for very often π Full price, these are β¬39.99, so not bad at all, I am sure I will get alot of use out of them over the festive season.
I think that’s it, if you have made it to the end of this let me know, I know it’s a rambly one π Did you get any amazing bargains in the sales yet?
